🐟🍽️ Good Food, Great Fellowship, and Wonderful Memories!
On October 16th, we gathered at the YFC Epicenter in Pigeon for a wonderful evening of delicious food, fellowship, and fun at our annual Fish Dinner sold at the YFC Auction!
A HUGE thank you to Darren and Amy Smithers for hosting this special evening, and to Scott Krohn and Greg Talaski for preparing such an amazing meal! 👏
It was such a blessing to see everyone connecting, welcoming new faces, and enjoying time together. The kids had a blast, the food was delicious, and the fellowship was even better! ❤️
We are so grateful to everyone who purchased tickets at the auction and helped make this evening so special. It's moments like these that remind us how wonderful it is to come together as a community that supports YFC’s ministry to youth! 💙

🌊💦 WHAT A NIGHT! 🙌

Around 230 students from across the Thumb came together at Covenant Hills Camp & Bavarian Blast Waterpark for an unforgettable YFC Lock-In! From water slides and laughter to meaningful conversations about Jesus, it was a night to remember! 💙

But one of the most powerful moments came from a student who shared these beautiful words:

❤️ "I was crawling but with Jesus I can walk."

WOW! 🙌 THIS is why we do what we do. It's about so much more than a fun night. It's about students encountering Jesus, discovering hope, and experiencing the life-changing power of His love.

A HUGE thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, and everyone who prayed for and supported this event! We are so grateful for the opportunity to reach students and plant seeds of faith that will last far beyond one night.

💜💛 October is Pastor Appreciation Month! 🙏

Behind every sermon, every prayer, every hospital visit, and every word of encouragement is a pastor who has answered God's call to faithfully serve others.

Pastors carry burdens we may never see, pray prayers we may never hear, and pour into lives in ways that leave an eternal impact. Their dedication to sharing the Gospel, shepherding their congregations, and pointing others toward Christ is a blessing that should never be taken for granted.

This month, we encourage you to go beyond simply saying "thank you." Take time to pray for your pastor, encourage them, and remind them that their faithfulness matters. ❤️

At Bluewater Thumb Youth for Christ, we are incredibly grateful for the pastors throughout our communities who faithfully serve, lead, and invest in the Kingdom of God.

🙏 Join Us in Prayer for Our Lock-In! 🙏

Tomorrow night, students from across the Thumb will gather at Covenant Hills Camp & Bavarian Blast Waterpark for a night filled with fun, fellowship, and an opportunity to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ!

As we prepare for this exciting event, we ask you to join us in prayer! ❤️

🙏 Pray that students' hearts will be open to the Gospel and that lives will be changed through Christ.

🙏 Pray for our staff and volunteers, that God would give them the strength, energy, and wisdom to connect with students and share His love.

We are looking forward to an incredible night and can't wait to see how God moves in the hearts of these students! 🙌

🙌 What an incredible morning at our Ministry Leader Conference (MLC)!

We were blessed to have approximately 60 people join us, including students, volunteers, and members of local churches, for a morning of fellowship, encouragement, and 3Story® training! One of the most powerful moments of the morning was hearing from students who shared some incredible and impactful words and heartfelt prayers. ❤️

A huge thank you to Jen Tebedo & Colwood Church for partnering with us to make this event possible and to everyone who attended! We pray that all left feeling encouraged, equipped, and ready to share the love of Jesus with others! ✝️

🎉 Let’s Meet Our YFC Team! 🎉

This week, we’re excited to introduce Brittany Hamilton, our Campus Life Director in Cass City! 💙

🏡 Brittany grew up in Cass City and is excited to be back in her hometown, investing in the next generation! She graduated from Alma College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Special Education. After college, she spent two years working in the school system.

✝️ During that time, Brittany began volunteering with Youth for Christ in the Bad Axe school district. What started as volunteering quickly became something more as God opened her heart to a calling in full-time ministry!

💛 Brittany has a passion for encouraging students to discover their God-given purpose and embrace who He created them to be. Outside of ministry, she enjoys staying active, playing sports, reading, and spending time outdoors appreciating God’s beautiful creation!

🙌 We’re so thankful to have Brittany as part of our YFC family and are excited to see how God continues to work through her to impact students in Cass City!

🎉 MEET THE STAFF: JASON! 🎉

Let’s give a BIG shoutout to one of our YFC veterans! 🙌

This week, we’re celebrating Jason, who has served with Youth for Christ for a combined 25+ YEARS! 🎉🔥

Jason first served as the Harbor Beach/Port Hope Campus Life Director from 1998–2016. After a two-year break, he returned in 2018 and jumped right back into ministry with students! When Port Hope schools closed, Jason also stepped into the role of North Huron Campus Life Director, continuing to show up for students and make a difference. ❤️

And his dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed! At YFC’s National Leadership Conference this past January, Jason was honored on stage by YFC President Jake Bland, who presented him with a commemorative service coin recognizing his years of faithful ministry. 🪙👏

But when Jason isn’t spending time with students, you’ll often find him spending time with his two favorite people: his kids, Emmitt and Amelia! 💙 He loves making the most of his free time with them and being Dad. 😊

25+ years. Countless students. One incredible impact. 🙌

We are SO thankful Jason is part of our YFC team! Help us congratulate him on 25 years of ministry and celebrate all God has done—and all that’s still ahead! 🎊
