New Volunteer Opportunity:
We are becoming aware of a growing need in our congregation for people that are in need of transportation. Just simple trips to the doctor, grocery store, pharmacy or even for medical treatments can be extremely stressful for some that do not have the means to get there. We also realize that we have such a loving congregation that would fill that need if there was a way to match people up. We are currently in the process of creating a list of people who are willing to give a small portion of their time to help members that desire this much needed transportation. If you wish to be on a list that would provide an occasional ride to a fellow member or you know of a member that could use this type of service please contact John McNally [email protected]

Hi Everyone -

It's official, our mission trip will be from April 17th to April 23rd in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Please see below for details. Please consider joining this effort to help the victims from last December floods rebuild their homes.

Our group is headed out again!! This year we're heading down to Brookport, IL, which is about about a seven hour drive. We will leave at 10 am on April 19th. The plan is to work Monday through Friday and drive back Saturday morning. For more information on this incredible experience email Jeff Welch at [email protected] This trip is always filled with plenty to do on all scales of expertise. Even if you have no experience at all we can always use people to help clean and be general helpers. It will be an experience you will never forget!!

Hello Mission Trippers!!

The dates for this year's US Adult Mission are leaving April 27th, Sunday, (the first Sunday after Easter) and returning May 3, Saturday.

We are looking at two possible locations: Waynesville, Missouri or Washington, Illinois. Waynesville had severe flooding last August and is about a seven hour drive, and Washington had a tornado in November and is about a three hour drive from Libertyville.

Our first choice is Washington, but they are still wrapping up their short term recovery efforts and don't have a long term recovery plan in place yet. They said to give them about two weeks and check back. Waynesville is already in the long term recovery phase and could use our help.

If you are interested in this year's trip and have a location preference, then let me know. Even if you are not interested in this year's trip, could you please help me recruit some other willing souls by sharing this page.

Well we are off!! A group of 7 from our church & one from St Lawrence Episcopal Church, led by Jeff Welch, has joined with a group from First United Methodist Church of Harvard IL, led by Pastor Jim Bell, on another Adult Mission Trip. This year we are headed to Piedmont Missouri. This area was severally affected by the 2011 tornadoes. It will be about an 8 hour drive and we hope to be posting pictures of our week along the way.
