Decoration Day 2026 is almost here!

In keeping with tradition it will be “The First Sunday in May - May 3rd this year.

We will have a covered dish lunch after the 11 am morning service.

We look forward to seeing you!

The Cherokee County Communications District (Cherokee County 911 - Alabama) is now accepting applications for Public Safety Telecommunicator (911 Dispatcher).

If you are interested in a promising career as a First Responder, this is your opportunity! Starting pay is $18.57 for those with no experience, and for those with experience, pay is negotiable based on your level of experience.

To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license, be fingerprinted and pass a background check, as well as have a high school diploma or GED. Cherokee County 911 - Alabama is a drug-free workplace, and successfully passing a drug test is required.
