Piedmont FUMC Mid-week Announcements June 17, 2026

The J.O.Y. group will meet tomorrow at 10:00 am in the Draper Fellowship Hall.

Youth are invited to a Pool Party at Kayla’s house on Wednesday, June 24th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. We will have drinks, snacks and ice cream! We hope you will join us for a night of fun and fellowship! Address will be posted next week in GroupMe.

The Oxford Community Chorus, with Orchestra, will present America the Beautiful – Celebrating 250 Years - on Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:00 pm at the Oxford Performing Arts Center. This is a free concert that you won’t want to miss. Two of our own, Diane Studdard and Linda Gowens are singing in the chorus. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

We are “attempting” to have a Fish Fry at our church on Sunday evening, September 27th. We need help with one key ingredient and that is FISH. We will have some fish but not enough as we plan to invite on-duty police, fire and rescue personnel in addition to our church members. Please let the church office know if you can help. Thanks!

Piedmont FUMC Mid-week Announcements June 10, 2026

There will be no choir or handbell practice this evening.

UMYF will not meet weekly on Wednesday nights during June and July. More details about our summer schedule and activities will be posted in the near future. UMYF will meet for Sunday School on Sunday from 9:30 -10:15 am upstairs in the Tucker Activity Center.

We invite you to join us for a VBS Closing Celebration tomorrow at 11:00 am. We will have our closing celebration and then a cook out immediately following. Everyone is invited to join us for a fun ending to an awesome week of VBS!

The Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be Saturday at 7:00 am in the Draper Fellowship Hall.

Our mission team is home after a wonderful week of serving in Copperhill, Tennessee! Our mission team was tasked with digging 15+ postholes, building the framework for a new wrap-around porch, cutting joists and deck boards for the new porch, creating a safe and accessible entry from the back porch, and lawn care maintenance. This was a hard project, but our mission team did a great job! They finished their week having fun by playing paintball and whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River.

The theme of their week was “Open Handed.” During the week, our mission team participated in daily devotions and chapel services that focused on humbling and surrendering oneself before the Lord. Our mission team had the best time together and growing in their faith!

A special thank you to our church family for donations of drinks, snacks, and supplies. Our mission trip was a success because of your thoughtfulness and generosity. Our mission team looks forward to sharing their experience with you all at a later date this summer!

Piedmont FUMC Mid-week Announcements June 3, 2026

The J.O.Y. group will meet tomorrow at 10:00 in the Draper Fellowship Hall.

The Circle of Faith will meet tomorrow at 5:00 pm in the church parking lot to go out to eat at Top of the River in Gadsden.

The Trustees will meet Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Granger Latta classroom.

The Finance Committee will meet Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Granger Latta classroom.

The Administrative Board will meet Monday at 6:00 pm in the Frank Wofford classroom.

Vacation Bible School will be June 8-11 (Monday – Thursday) from 9:00 – noon each day. Our theme this year is “Rainforest Falls, Exploring the Nature of God”. Help is needed for group leaders, kitchen staff, Bible stories and help wherever needed. Sign-up sheets are posted on the office windows. There is also a sign-up sheet for t-shirts on the table in the Tucker Activity Center lobby.
