HI ladies!! Our names are Emily winner and Lindsey Allen,
I’m so excited to announce that a few others and I will be starting a Bible study / small group for high school girls THIS fall!!
My goal for this group is….
1 to learn about Jesus love for us and others
2 learn about our self worth in Jesus
3 to be a women of God
4 to raise up the next generation of women known as “modern day Mary’s”
Here is The meaning behind the name, is the story of Mary and Martha!
“Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, “Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it. Jesus said, “Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of my burial. For the poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me.””

We want to raise up women like Mary, that are willing to just sit at Jesus feet, leave all the worries, distractions and stresses aside and just be still with Jesus. to be willing to to pour our oil out on him, our “expensive ointment”. to set aside our pride and cast our burdens and worries on him!
