This year in our Prayer Gatherings, we have explored the truth of God's worthiness and how it shapes and influences our desire to seek Him. In our final gathering of the year, we will sit with the Lord's Prayer as our model, allowing the words of our Savior to guide us in how we seek Him through prayers.

If you have never attended a Prayer Gathering or have been on the fence, please consider joining us on Sunday, October 4th. Baltimore, Pickerington, Canal Wi******er, and Southside congregations will gather at 6:00 pm at their respective locations.

We’re excited to launch Compassion Ministry Community Meal Night at Maranatha Baltimore—a monthly opportunity for our church family to serve our neighbors and demonstrate the compassion of Christ in a practical way. On the first Saturday of each month, we’ll provide a free meal, creating space to welcome people, build relationships, meet practical needs, and share the hope of the gospel. We’re looking for members who are willing to help prepare and serve meals, welcome guests, clean up, and build meaningful relationships with those who come. This is an opportunity for all of us to live out the love we have received from Christ by serving others with generosity and humility.

Men of Maranatha, the MDC Fall Course kicks off this Saturday and is designed to help men grow in their understanding and handling of God's Word. Scripture teaches that the ministry of teaching is a calling for some, a gifting for others, and a responsibility shared by every believer.

Together, we'll work through The Simeon Trust's First Principles, an eight-session video course that introduces foundational skills for reading, studying, and teaching the Bible. Each session includes video instruction followed by discussion in small groups.

Whether you're discipling your children, in a mentoring relationship, leading a Bible study, or simply wanting to grow in your knowledge of God's Word, this course will encourage and equip you in taking the next steps.

On Tuesday, August 11th the greater Columbus area was hit by a large storm cell with pervasive winds. This storm caused significant damage to Maranatha Southside’s roof and interior spaces, including the church’s Compassion Ministry room. Maranatha was met immediately with help from members and the Ohio Disaster relief to help tarp the building until further repairs can be made. If you would like to help support the restoration of Maranatha Southside, you can contribute directly to the Building Restoration Fund.

Additionally, our Compassion Ministry lost the majority of its resources to water damage. If you would like to help us rebuild these resources, you can provide needed items through our Amazon Wishlist.

Visit MaranathaOhio.com/southside for ways to get involved. We'll also have direct links posted in stories.

Maranatha is a family of churches across multiple locations, united in one mission: to make disciples of Jesus for the good of our cities and surrounding areas. We’d love for you to gather with us this Sunday as we continue through the book of Romans.

This week we’ll be in Romans 2:1–11, where Paul turns our attention to God’s righteous judgment and how it should remind us that God’s kindness is meant to lead us to repentance—not complacency.

Join us at one of our locations:
Baltimore — 10:30 AM
Canal Wi******er — 9:30 AM
Pickerington — 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM
Southside — 11:00 AM
