Gritty Women Of God Gritty is an acronym for GRIT “G- God’s R- Resolute Women I- in Intense T- Times”. Gritty Women of God was birthed in 1997.

(Resolute means determined, faithful, corageous, strong, resilient and loyal) Pastor Sheila Bowling Gritty Women is an acronym for GRIT “G- God’s R- Resolute Women I- in Intense T- Times”. Without a clear sense of direction, Pastor Sheila began Gritty Women of God (GWOG) with a prayer meeting, using her gifts of prayer and intercession. In this meeting, as the women prayed, the power of Go

d came into the room. Although Pastor Sheila had no plans to begin a Women’s Ministry, God, however, had other plans and placed it in Pastor Sheila’s heart to have a women’s conference. In this first conference, there were about 180 women registered, however, over 400 women attended. The passion of these women along with the power of God released during that conference confirmed the need for a Women’s Ministry, thus Gritty Women of God was birthed. God began to speak to Pastor Sheila about His broken women and how He was going to deliver them from their past abuse and hurt. The revelation that women were the most oppressed people group on the earth gave her the courage to go forth with a new anointing to see women set free! God began to speak to her concerning the prophetic word in Psalms 68:11 that He would give a shout and the women would come forth and when this happened, kings of enemies would flee!! Strongholds over regions would be broken as His women that have been delivered gather together for the purpose of seeing other women set free! Through their testimonies, the anointing would be released and wherever Resolute Women went they would turn the world upside down! (Resolute means determined, faithful, and loyal). Currently, Gritty Women of God meetings are being held in other regions throughout the United States and abroad. One of the emphases now of Gritty Women of God is Human Trafficking. We are now linking arms with organized groups and will assist them with the goal to get them to a safe environment and share the gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!!!

GRITTY WOMEN OF GOD CONFERENCE IMPORTANT UPDATE
After much prayer and counsel with our ministry leadership team and Apostle Les Bowling, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone this year's conference until 2027.
If you have already registered for the conference, your registration fee is being fully refunded. Also, if you have reserved a hotel room, you will need to cancel your reservation, and you will not be charged.
This season has brought unexpected challenges for our family, and we believe this is the best decision for our church, our ministry team, and the hundreds of women who faithfully attend each year.
This is simply a pause! Gritty Women of God isn't just a conference we attend—it's a sisterhood we belong to so stay connected with us at grittywomen.org

According to the Bible, when the three Hebrew children—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—went through the fiery furnace, the fire did not destroy them; it revealed God’s power and presence.
In Daniel 3, King Nebuchadnezzar had them thrown into the furnace because they refused to worship the golden image. But when the king looked in, he saw four men walking loose in the fire, and the fourth looked “like the Son of God” or “a son of the gods” depending on the translation.
What changed when the fire of God came?

Their bonds were burned off — the ropes that tied them were destroyed, but they were not harmed.
They walked freely in what was meant to kill them — the fire became a place of freedom, not defeat.
God’s presence was revealed — the fourth man appeared in the furnace with them.
Their faith was proven — they trusted God whether He delivered them or not.
Their enemies saw God’s power — Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
They came out unharmed — their hair was not singed, their clothes were not burned, and they did not even smell like smoke.
They were promoted afterward — after the furnace, the king promoted them in Babylon.

So the main message is: the fire did not change who they were; it changed what was holding them. It burned off their bo***ge, revealed God with them, and brought them out with a greater testimony.
