What will YOUR hands do for “God’s Work, Our Hands” on Sunday, Sept. 13?

Here are the choices following the worship service:

1) Go to the Quad Room to assemble Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief.
2) Go to the HMOC to assemble School Kits for Lutheran World Relief.
3) Go to the Quad Room to fill Bathroom Blessing Bags for The Lighthouse Domestic Violence Shelter in Lancaster.
4) Go to the Nursery to fill cosmetic bags with travel-sized personal care products for Star House.
5) Go to Room 106 where you can sit down to write notes of encouragement in cards for youth at Star House. (prompts provided)
6) Go to Room 107 where you can sit down to write encouraging words in cards to those at The Lighthouse. (prompts provided)
7) Go to the Gathering Space to trace patterns and cut out pieces for shoes for Sole Hope.
8) Go to the Youth Room to help seal up School Kits or Personal Care Kits in boxes.
9) Go to the kitchen to ask Will how you can help with setting up or preparing the meal.

We ask that children who are in 4th grade or younger travel with an adult.

One of our projects on "God's Work, Our Hands Sunday" (Sept. 13) involves tracing and cutting patterns out of denim that will be sent to Uganda where shoes will be assembled by local workers who earn a fair wage. Recycled tires are used for soles.
We will be providing pieces to make a child's size 7 shoe so we don't have to worry about different sizes.
These shoes protect feet from jiggers, a small sand flea that burrows under the skin, lays eggs and make it painful to walk.
