PLEASE READ: Important Announcement from The Hiding Place
To our supporters, friends, survivors, partner organizations, and our beloved community:
We are excited to share an important milestone in the journey of The Hiding Place. Over the past two years of operations, we’ve been able to serve nearly 600 survivors, and we’ve witnessed firsthand the healing and restoration of hope in so many lives. What began as a vision by a survivor from Pickens County who felt the call to create a program and resources that she didn’t have in her hometown, partnered with the personal life-changing support of one of the Channel Missions founders, The Hiding Place has now grown into a vibrant, life-changing initiative. As the butterfly has been a symbol of hope within our organization and survivor community, we see this moment as symbolic of the butterfly emerging from its cocoon. Just as the butterfly must trust its wings to take its first flight, The Hiding Place is now stepping forward, embracing the beauty of this new season. With confidence and hope, we are ready to soar into the future, continuing our mission to support and empower survivors.
As Channel Missions has acted as a vessel, much like a cocoon, nurturing the growth that The Hiding Place has experienced, it is now time for the program—once a channel of Channel Missions—to take its first flight. With strength and confidence, we step into this new season, trusting that what lies ahead will bring beauty, transformation, and continued healing for survivors that we get the opportunity to walk alongside. With that being said, we are thrilled to announce that The Hiding Place is officially becoming an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. While Channel Missions has been a vital piece of our hearts and a critical part of our growth, The Hiding Place is now ready to stand on its own, opening doors to further reach and empower survivors in Pickens County.
As we take this first flight and spread our wings into this exciting new season, we need your continued support. Your donations and partnership are crucial to helping us expand our outreach and continue offering safe spaces for survivors. We invite you to walk alongside us and the survivors, offering your time, resources, and hearts as we journey together toward healing. We have and will always be committed to stepping into the trenches, the deep holes of no hope, and walking, sometimes climbing, back out alongside survivors as they take the brave steps towards thriving.
