What a special morning at Pickens First Baptist Church! đź’™
Today, we celebrated three baptisms and rejoiced in the life-changing work of Jesus Christ.
We were excited to witness the baptism of Ella Windham, daughter of Rich and Brooke Windham, as she publicly professed her faith in Christ.
We also celebrated with Emmerson Welborn, who grew up right here at Pickens First Baptist Church. It is a blessing to see young people raised in the church continue to follow the Lord and take this important step of obedience.
Finally, we rejoiced with Tucker Queen as he followed Christ in believer's baptism. Tucker and Abby Heeringa will be married this coming Saturday, June 6, and it was a joy to celebrate this significant milestone in his faith journey as he prepares for this new season of life.
There is nothing quite like seeing lives changed by the Gospel and celebrating together as a church family. Join us in congratulating Ella, Emmerson, and Tucker and praying for them as they continue to grow in their walk with Christ!
"For we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life." Romans 6:4

What a joy-filled Sunday at Pickens First Baptist Church! Today we celebrated two special moments in the life of our church family.

We rejoiced as Emmerson Welborn, who grew up here at PFBC, came forward as a candidate for baptism. There is something especially meaningful about watching a a young woman who has been loved, taught, encouraged, and poured into by a church family take this step of faith. Seeing God continue to work through every season of life is a beautiful reminder that the seeds planted over the years matter. We are thankful for what the Lord is doing in Emmerson’s life and excited for what is ahead!

We also had the privilege of participating in a Parent Child Dedication for Amelia Jane Wyatt. Moments like these remind us that raising children is not a journey parents walk alone. As a church family, we commit to praying for Amelia, encouraging her family, and helping point her toward Christ as she grows.
Days like today are little snapshots of the faithfulness of God. From one generation to the next, we are grateful to see Him at work at PFBC.

What a great Sunday at Pickens First Baptist Church!
Today was full of celebration, fellowship, and worship together as a church family and community.
This morning during both worship hours, we had the privilege of recognizing our graduates and celebrating all God has done in their lives. We are so proud of each of them and excited to see what the Lord has ahead for them.
After worship, we enjoyed a wonderful meal together filled with laughter, conversation, and fellowship around the table.
Then this afternoon, churches from across our community gathered together for the community-wide Baccalaureate Service. It was a special time of encouragement and prayer over the Class of 2026 as they prepare for the next chapter of life.
Days like today are a reminder of how thankful we are for our church family and community. Congratulations again to all of our graduates!

Yesterday, May 3, we had the joy of welcoming Abby Heeringa (Pastor Daniel’s daughter) and her fiancé, Tucker Queen, as they officially joined the PFBC family. What a special moment - not just for them, but for our entire church.
As Abby and Tucker step into this next season of life together, we’re grateful to walk alongside them as a church family. We’re especially excited to celebrate that Tucker will be baptized in the coming days, a meaningful step of faith and a powerful moment of testimony.
We’re also looking ahead with great anticipation as they prepare for their wedding on June 6, 2026, a day that will mark the beginning of their covenant together in Christ.
Church family, let’s continue to surround Abby and Tucker with prayer, encouragement, and support in this special season.
Welcome home, Abby and Tucker. We’re grateful you’re here. 💛

Tomorrow changes everything.
The cross wasn’t the end of the story.
The tomb didn’t stay full.
Jesus is alive—and that means hope is alive too.

Bring your family. Bring your questions. Come as you are.
We’d love to worship with you.

Today is Good Friday.
The day the sky grew dark.
The day the earth trembled.
The day Jesus cried out… and gave His life.
Not because He had to.
Because He chose to.
On the cross, Jesus carried sin that wasn’t His, paid a debt He didn’t owe, and made a way for us to be forgiven, restored, and brought back to God. What looked like defeat was actually the greatest victory in history.
“Life over death” didn’t begin on Sunday.
It started right here… at the cross.
But the story isn’t over.
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection - the moment everything changed forever. The grave is empty, hope is alive, and new life is available to all who believe.
We would love for you and your family to be with us this Easter.
Come experience the hope of Jesus.
Come celebrate Life over Death.

We are excited to welcome Steve and Barbara Sifford to our church family! They joined this morning by Transfer of Letter, and we are grateful the Lord has led them here.
PFBC is more than a place, it is a people. It is worshiping together, serving shoulder to shoulder, praying for one another, and growing in Christ side by side. Steve and Barbara, we are thankful you are now part of that story with us.
Church family, when you see them, make sure to introduce yourself, learn their story, and let them know how glad we are that they are here.
Welcome home, Steve and Barbara.
