I wanted to give an update on medical detox ideas. South MS Regional Detox out of Laurel has been so kind to share what type of insurances they accept.
I believe the Lord is wanting to open this door for medical detox. Regardless of how you feel about Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act, hear me out.
Every major insurance is required by MS law to carry SUD medical provision. I'll explain further on this tomorrow. SUD is Substance Abuse Disorder which is considered a Mental Health Disorder. Yall... everyone is mental. Some are just more open about it than others. If someone thinks they're perfect, then they also have a disorder.... called Denial.
Mississippi Medicaid requirements:
1. Have to be the Head of Household and a Single Parent with children under 18.
2. Pregnant.
3. Mentally Ill.
So three options.
1. If you qualify under any of those three things, fill out for Medicaid. If you need help with this, Rescue Army is standing by to assist. You're going to need your i.d.s etc.
I believe we can find local people in your area to help you get these documents. Medicaid can take 30 days to process.
2. If you do not qualify under those three options, apply for the affordable care act health insurance plan. Listen and hear me well.. paying 100 to 200 for your initial health care plan will actually PAY for your detox. You MUST make sure it covers SUD treatment which by law, it is supposed to do.
3. If you have someone willing, you can pay 2k out of pocket and work out the payment plan for the rest.
I am looking for volunteers ASAP to get the word out, spread flyers, assist with paperwork for anyone needing help. I'm looking for County Leaders that can connect and assemble teams for their counties and states.
Yall this is very doable. We can earn, give, and raise but mostly let's make sure all of our loved ones that we've buried didn't die in vain while we sit back and let the devil win.
If your recovery class is willing to pick up people and take them to your classes, let us know. Let's create the network that doesn't actually require a lot of legwork. If you feel led to help someone or sponsor someone for their initial insurance deposit. Do it. If your church or organization is willing to mentor and feed, clothe or give someone a day job to earn their detox... do it.
Like I said, meeting next week , Wednesday 10am PRC time.
If you feel led to go teach at the hospital in detox unit, let me know. I have to get you approved.
Time to leave the 99.
