What a wonderful blessing it was to welcome Jenisha Owen, Associate Director of the South Mississippi and Pearl River Community College Wesley Foundations, to Trinity United Methodist Church this past Sunday.
Jenisha shared not only about the exciting ministry taking place on our college campuses but also about the lives that are being transformed through the love of Jesus Christ. As I listened, I was reminded that the Church's mission doesn't end when our young people graduate from high school. In many ways, it is just beginning. Our college students need to know there is a place where they are loved, encouraged, and invited to grow in their faith.
We were also delighted to welcome Jenisha's mother, Diane Owen, whose faithful witness and years of ministry alongside her husband, the Rev. Steven Owen, have blessed so many throughout Mississippi. It was a joy to have her worship with our Trinity family.
At TUMC, we believe investing in the next generation is not simply a worthy cause—it is a sacred calling. Every prayer, every gift, and every word of encouragement helps create opportunities for young adults to encounter Christ, ask honest questions, build lifelong friendships, and discover God's purpose for their lives.
Thank you, Jenisha, for sharing your heart with us and for your faithful ministry to college students. We are grateful for you and for the Wesley Foundations that are making a lasting difference across South Mississippi.
TUMC family, I invite you to continue praying for Jenisha, the staff, the student leaders, and every young person who walks through the doors of a Wesley Foundation this year. May God continue to raise up a generation of disciples who will love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and boldly share His hope with the world.

God is still calling. And thanks be to God, young people are still answering.
