So much fighting over the shadows while ignoring the real thing...what really matters.
Colossians 2
16¶Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17Which are a SHADOW of THINGS TO COME; but the body is OF CHRIST
Hebrews 8
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: (He isn't offering gifts, He is the gift)
5Who serve unto the example and SHADOW of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises
Hebrews 10
For the law having a SHADOW of good THINGS TO COME, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect....
9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of JESUS CHRIST once for all
THINGS TO COME:
Revelation 21
22¶And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
It's not supposed to be about a land or a building or specific days or rituals and ceremonies but acknowledging, glorifying and pointing others to Him. Don't worry about a building in Jerusalem (Jewish, Muslim or Christian) but rather what is built on the Temple mount of your heart.
God doesn't take sides, that's why Jesus said, "Lest ye repent ye shall all likewise perish". He doesn't care about your nationality or religion. He cares about your heart.
What land, what building, what religion, what denomination? It's irrelevant in the big picture (in light of the New Jerusalem). What matters is who you say Jesus is to you.
Side note:
Who could have predicted that Jesus would be crucified on the same mountain that God provided a ram (lamb) in Isaacs stead thousands of years prior? Were the Roman authorities trying to fulfill prophecy or is God showing sovereignty?
