Gospel Reflection John 3:13–17
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us of the great love God has for each one of us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” These are words we have heard many times, but they are worth stopping and thinking about. God’s love is not simply something He speaks about—it is a love He shows through the gift of His Son. Jesus came into the world to save us, not to condemn us. He knows our weaknesses, our mistakes and the times when we have fallen short, yet He continues to reach out to us with mercy and forgiveness.

The Cross is the greatest sign of that love. It reminds us that no matter how difficult life may become, we are never forgotten or abandoned by God. As Christians, we are called to accept that love and allow it to change the way we live. It is easy to say that we love God, but our love is shown in how we treat others, how willing we are to forgive, and how we respond when someone needs our help. God has given us an incredible gift in His Son. May we never take that gift for granted, but may we carry Christ’s love with us each day and share it with those around us.

Gospel: John 3:13-17
Jesus said: No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Сказав Господь: Ніхто не ввійшов у небо, крім того, хто зійшов з неба: Син Чоловічий! Тож так, як Мойсей змія підняв у пустині, - так треба Синові Чоловічому бути піднесеним, щоб кожен, хто вірує у нього, жив життям вічним. Бог бо так полюбив світ, що Сина свого Єдинородного дав, щоб кожен, хто вірує в нього, не загинув, а жив життям вічним. Бо не послав Бог у світ Сина світ засудити, лише ним - світ спасти.

Please remember in your prayers:
-The United States. May God help us amid the political discord and mistrust in our country.
- Ukraine, that she receives the support desperately needed to defend herself against the aggressor who’s determined to take away her autonomy, her territory, and to destroy her culture.
- those who perished on September 11, as well as those who died in the aftermath from the illnesses they got after rescuing people from the fallen buildings.
-students returning to school…many beginning their school career while others are coming to its end. May it be a year of successes and blessings.
- those who suffer from illnesses, making it difficult to carry on with normal daily activities.
- those who suffer from depression
- unborn babies, that they be given a chance to live. Pray for those who contemplate ending a pregnancy. May God guide them to rethink their decision and look for other alternatives.
- the elderly people in our society. Many are home-bound or alone in a senior facility…perhaps a visit, a phone call, or a card to brighten their day?
Also...
- Please pray for members in our parish who are experiencing difficult health issues, some of who are homebound: Paul K., Roman A., Nadine H., Donald S., Trish N., Walter K. Jr., Gerald S., Anna Z., Pamela K., Marie C., Irene B., Fred and Carol H., Julie B., and Maria F.
-Please pray for the souls of those who have fallen asleep in the Lord. May they find peace and life everlasting. Vichnaya Pamyat.
