Tomorrow begins what is called "The Great Triduum" or 'The Three Great Days' - the three holiest days of the church year. We invite you to join us for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil.

Robert Webber explains the importance of the Triduum well in his book, "Ancient-Future Time":

"While Lent is the journey into the most significant event of human history, the three great days are life-changing experience of God's saving work in history. For Christians there is no time throughout the entire Christian year that is more crucial than the three great days....

These three days are not to be taken lightly or to be frittered away in casual conversation, the search for pleasure, or the pursuit of business. They are the most holy, solemn, and serious days of the entire year. For in these days we experience and encounter our own destiny in the destiny of Christ's ignominious death and burial and in his triumphant resurrection from the dead. If we miss these days we have missed the heart of a full year's spiritual pilgrimage."

For those still wondering about Sunday, YES we will still have our service of Holy Communion and welcome you to come if you think it's safe for you. We also welcome all visitors who are looking for an open church on Sunday.

However, if you are unable to make it to the 9:30 AM Holy Communion service, here are a couple ways you can still participate in the rhythm and worship of the church:

1. Come to Morning Prayer: we continue to offer the service of Morning Prayer each Sunday at 8:30 AM. This is a shorter service which should conclude by 9:00 AM and depending on the timing of the storm it may allow you to return home before the roads get too bad.

2. Morning Prayer at home: We know that some come from a longer distance and are unable to travel to church because of the weather. One of the great elements of our Anglican Tradition is the daily order of Morning and Evening Prayer as found in the Book of Common Prayer.

You can join the life and prayer of the church by doing Morning Prayer at home with your family. The office of Morning Prayer begins on pg. 3 of the BCP.

Note that the assigned lessons and Collect for this Sunday are those for the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul while also including the collect for Epiphany 3. The collect for the Feast is found on pg. 229 and the one for Epiphany 3 is on pg. 112.

The lessons for Morning Prayer are as follows:
Psalm 66
First Lesson: Isaiah 45:18-25
Second Lesson: 2 Cor. 12:1-9

If you need further assistance navigating how to do the morning office at home, please reach out to Fr. Ben and he'll assist you.
