Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies The Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies (JBTS) is a peer-reviewed, open-source online journal

The Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies (JBTS) is an open-source online journal in the field of biblical and theological studies. Written from an inter-denominational evangelical point of view, the journal is reviewed by an editorial board of faculty that represent several academic institutions throughout the world. Academic journals are often written by scholars for other scholars. They a

re technical in nature, assuming a robust knowledge of the field. While this is a necessary and good endeavor, there are few journals that seek to introduce biblical and theological scholarship that is accessible to undergraduate students in these fields. JBTS seeks to bridge the existing gap by providing high-level scholarship and research to students. This journal also seeks to model good research and writing, so that students can more confidently engage in the field. In essence, this journal is a collection of professors’ writing for the sake of their students. JBTS will provide high-level original scholarship that is written towards students who are proficient in the fields of biblical and theological studies. Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies (JBTS) is copyrighted by Grand Canyon University. Readers are free to use it and circulate it in digital form without further permission, but they must acknowledge the source and may not change the content.
