We’re often taught the importance of giving generously. But how good are we at receiving?

A compliment. A helping hand. An unexpected gift. Love. Recognition. An opportunity.

In his Sunday message this week, Rev. Richard Maraj pointed out that sometimes the very good we say we want is the good we have a hard time allowing ourselves to RECEIVE.

What if opening ourselves to greater abundance begins with believing we are worthy of receiving it?

What if the things that trigger you are actually revealing something you need to heal?

The things that provoke a strong emotional reaction can be clues—pointing us toward unresolved pain, fear or beliefs we may still be carrying.

Instead of automatically reacting, this week Rev. Richard Maraj offered five questions that can help us become more conscious of what’s really happening within us:
What happened?
What did I feel?
What story did I create about it?
What did I want to do?
And perhaps the most powerful question of all: What would love do instead?

Our triggers don’t have to control us. They can become opportunities to understand ourselves more deeply, interrupt old patterns and choose a more loving response.

Ever wish you could take back something you said, texted or did in the heat of the moment?

When we’re triggered, our first reaction isn’t always our wisest one. But what if just 90 seconds could help us choose differently?

During this week's Wednesday message, Rev. Richard Maraj shared the practice of the 90-second spiritual pause—a simple way to give ourselves space to breathe, feel and observe before we react.

Because every time we pause instead of lash out, choose a boundary instead of revenge, or feel anger without acting on it, we get stronger. We build the spiritual muscle that helps us respond to life with greater awareness, peace and love.

Sometimes spiritual growth begins with simply giving ourselves 90 seconds.

The biggest obstacle between you and what’s possible isn’t your circumstances … but what you’ve come to believe about them.

We all carry limiting beliefs — old programming, fears, wounds and stories about what we can have, who we can become and what is possible for our lives.

But in her message to us on Sunday, Katie Kyleen offered a powerful image: faith is a bridge. A bridge beyond the beliefs that say it can’t happen. Beyond the past that says nothing will ever change. Beyond the fear that says there’s no way forward.

Faith doesn’t require us to know how everything will come together. It asks us to stay spiritually connected, open our hearts and make room for the Divine to work in ways we may not yet be able to see.

Your limiting beliefs may tell you what has been possible. Faith invites you to discover what else might be.
