Join a historic international effort to bring the life and legacy of Saint Sava to audiences around the world.
Acclaimed filmmaker Dr. Željko Mirković—an award-winning director, producer, and University of Connecticut professor whose films have earned 123 international awards and two Academy Award® qualification campaigns—is producing a feature-length documentary and 16-part television series on the life of Saint Sava.
Filmed on location in Serbia, Mount Athos, Jerusalem, Mount Sinai, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Bulgaria, and the United States, this landmark production is being created with the blessing of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the support of the Brotherhood of Hilandar Monastery.

Ways to Participate
Patron: €15,000–€25,000
Patrons will be recognized in the opening and closing credits of both the film and series, featured in press materials, and offered the opportunity to participate in a short interview segment that will become part of the television series “Saint Sava.”
Project Collaborator: €5,000–€14,999
Collaborators will be recognized in the opening and closing credits of both the film and series and mentioned in project press materials.
Community outreach and fundraising support are also welcomed.
Note: All payments for patronage or collaboration on the project are accompanied by a contract with Optimistic Film. Payments are made exclusively by bank transfer directly to Optimistic Film accounts (for clients from Serbia in dinar equivalent, and for diaspora supporters in euros to a foreign currency account).
