Do you want to know how much God loves you? He loves you so much He gave His Son up to a brutal death so that you could live. What else do you need to know? As you can see, from this one act, love can be very offensive. Could you imagine being in the crowd when Jesus was being beaten and mocked? When his flesh was being ripped off of his body? Or standing there at the foot of the cross, watching him die? I think these things would turn our stomachs inside out. So you tell me, is love offensive? And as we see that it is, how is it that you can be offended when someone tells you to stop sinning? Or when preachers call our blatant hypocrisy and sexual immorality? Did Jesus suffer so severely for nothing? Does He not deserve His sacrifice to be honored and revered? Stop sinning. So many times Christians continue to make choices to sin because they do not revere the sacrifice of Jesus made. or they have been taught that no matter what you do, it doesn't matter because after all you're forgiven. The truth is that if we do sin and we repent, we will be forgiven. But the Bible also says that those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with all its passions and desires. And it also states in 1 John that person who is born again does not continue in his sin.
