The Original first Phoenix Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus A page dedicated to the memories of all that would enter the doors of the original first Phoenix Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus.

The building was constructed from 1959 to 1961. All of the labor of the construction was performed by the church members. As you can see in our photos, this was a huge task in itself, as the actual building was immense. It was dedicated and opened to church members in 1961. The pastors of the church: Rev. Isabel Macias, Bishop Leonardo Sepulveda, Bishop Gilberto Diaz, Rev. Alex Mendoza, Bishop Mike Marrufo and Bishop Frank Romo Jr.

Hna. Juanita Garcia, born May 14, 1927, passed June 1, 2022, 95 years old. Hna. Juanita was a life long member of First Phoenix Apostolic Church. She was baptized at the age of 16, and served the lord faithfully for 79 years! Ever faithful at the side of her beloved husband, Rudy Garcia, and her children, Hilda, Art, and Veronica, Hna. Juanita was truly an epitome of the term “faithful servant”. Hna. Juanita supported her husband in his service to the lord as a minister. She worked tirelessly as a Dorcas, in any and all forms that she was asked to do so. She participated in the Sunday cooking commissions, she was on the cleaning commissions, she worked hard in any aspect that she was asked to. Hna. Juanita, you have earned your crown of glory, rejoice in the Lord!
