Life Groups
What are Life Groups? They consist of 3-15 people meeting weekly outside of church for the purpose of evangelism, community and spiritual growth, with the goal of making disciples who, in turn, make disciples. Leader: Brad Colby
Mission: To pray according to God's Wo
rd (The Bible) with the compelling objectives of achieving The Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20) and reaching out to people's needs. Vision: To pray, to fast, to give, to serve, to tell others about Jesus Christ, and to bless our enemies through love and prayer. Statement of Faith: We believe in•the full inerrancy of Scripture;
•God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit;
•the virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, physical resurrection and visible, personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ;
•salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ;
•the present ministry of the Holy Spirit expressed in His fruit, gifts and power in New Testament evangelism, consecrated Christian living, the local church, the ministry of reconciliation and the urgency of fulfilling The Great Commission. Meeting Times: The 2nd Sunday each month, following 10 a.m. Service
Faith In Action Ministry
Leader: Chris Zwierzinski
Vision: The goal of Faith In Action is to create an outward focus and a heart to serve in our communities by serving "others" instead of "ourselves." Also, we wish to deepen spiritual commitment and church involvement from our membership to help them realize that they can make a difference! Commitment:
Reaching the Community Through Service•Building relationships between our church and community organizations
•Reach unchurched friends, family and community members by inviting them to come serve with us
•Increase awareness of our church in the community
•Plant spiritual seeds through service
Meeting Times: Meeting days & times vary. Music Ministry
Leader: Larry Brasen
Vision: The vision of the Music Ministry is to give all praise and glory to God through music and song, and to bring people closer to Him through our worship services. We will point to Christ and not glorify ourselves or our musical ability. "He must increase and I (we) must decrease." John 3:30
Commitment: We are committed to excellence through careful planning, practicing and ex*****on. We do not view ourselves as entertainers but as worship leaders, bringing people closer to the love of God through music. We continually seek to become better at what we do and to serve God with excellence. Please Join Us! We need talented musicians and vocalists to join our praise band. Interested? Meeting Times: We meet for prayer and rehearsal on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays each month and we also meet before 10 AM service each Sunday for prayer and warm-up. Children's Ministry

Vision: The vision of the youth ministry is to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today and to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community. Commitment: Timothy 4:12 - Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. As their companions on this spiritual journey, some of the ways Faith Rising fulfills this goal of youth ministry is by:
•Proclaiming the Good News of Jesus through witness and word to young people
•Enabling young people to live as disciples through their involvement in service, ministry, and leadership opportunities
•Providing young people the faith skills for discipleship
Women's Ministry
Leader: Kim James
Vision: The vision of the Women’s Ministry is to develop the women of Faith Rising Christian Fellowship into true "Ladies of the Lord." Commitment: We are committed to the spiritual care and growth of the women of Faith Rising, creating an environment of loving Christian fellowship, growth and support for women, and reaching out ot women of the local community in Christian love, friendship and ministry. Meeting Times:
•W.O.W. (Women Of the Word) weekly women’s Bible Study at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays
•We host occasional events and luncheons throughout the year
Men's Ministry
Leader: Dr. Gene James, Pastor
Vision: The vision of the Men’s Ministry is to equip men to be Godly leaders, influencing their homes, work, and community for Christ. Also developing the total man by addressing his spiritual, physical, and emotional needs through prayer and the study of God's Word. Commitment: Our commitment is to those men of Faith Rising Christian Fellowship and the surrounding community, and we desire to create an environment of fellowship with fellow men of God. Meeting Times: We gather together for Men's Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. All men are welcome! Service to Members Ministry
Leader: Denise Shields
Vision: Psalm 84:10 (doorkeeper in house of God) - As a doorkeeper to the house of God, we will be a practical aid and support to our pastor and ministries of Faith Rising Christian Fellowship. Commitment: To assist and support the Pastor, Faith Rising members, ministries, and guests. Requirements for Service:
•Believer in Christ Jesus
•Member of Faith Rising Christian Fellowship
•Desire to serve others
•Commitment to authority
•Dedicated and faithful servant
