OUR FOCUS THIS WEEK: "HAVING A GRATEFUL HEART!!" 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV): "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." We're called to rejoice, pray continually, and give thanks, not because all circumstances are good, but because God is present in them. Gratitude shifts our focus from problems to God’s faithfulness, reinforcing trust in His unlimited power and authority. If we want to have a grateful heart we have to actively shift our attention from what we lack to the blessings already present in our lives.

OUR FOCUS THIS WEEK: "PREPARED FOR GOD'S TESTS!" James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." Preparing for God's tests requires surrender and trust. Our focus has to shift from merely "passing" a trial to allowing God to grow our character, patience, and unwavering faith during the process. We're asking God to use the tests to reveal and remove what doesn't belong, rather than just praying that we would escape the discomfort. And to let these tests be a purifying fire that refines our faith!
