"Should Christians Be Afraid Of Death? Part Two" – ‘Why should we fear death anyway? It's just the step we must take as we pass from this life to the next! Any Christian in good standing with the Lord should never fear death, and here's why: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” Psalms 23:4. Fear death? No Way! Why? Because God’s with us, that's why. The comforting presence of the Holy Spirit is with us both now and always and will be with us even at the end of our lives here on earth. If we're where we should be in the Lord then we’ll have nothing to fear. "I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39.

In these verses Paul boldly states that nothing can separate us from God and his love. He includes death in this list, which should convince everyone, even those who are skeptics. Death cannot separate us from the Lord! Why fear it then? There's no reason to. Death shouldn't frighten any Christian at all, if they're where they should be with the Lord. Now we'll turn to Paul once more: "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1st Corinthians 15:51-57. Our corruptible finite bodies shall be changed. We shall be made incorruptible and brought into immortality. Death is undone; we have the victory over it! The sting of death is sin but if you have no sin in your life then death has no sting at all! God gives us the victory even over death itself through Jesus our Lord! Hallelujah! So fear death? Not me. How about you? There's no need to fear it at all. Jesus conquered death and by his victory over it we have the victory, too! "We know that we have passed from death unto life.” 1st John 3:14. Death leads to life, and it's a life that's infinite, that’s everlasting, that’s eternal! So why fear it at all? We have no reason to, unless our hearts aren't right with our Lord. Think about it. If you’re not right with the Lord, this a good time to get right with him. Do it! We want to see you in heaven one day!’ – God bless you and keep you. – In the love of our Lord, Rev. Ray and Carol, 6/5/2026.

"Should Christians Be Afraid Of Death? Part One" – ‘This question has two answers. I know, some people would say there’s only one. That answer would be, No, a Christian should never be afraid of death; not in the slightest, but I still insist that there are two possible answers to the question, 'Should Christians be afraid of death.' Here's the first one: A Christian shouldn’t be afraid of death if their heart is right with God and they're in good standing with him. I'm sure that you’ve figured out what the second answer is: A Christian should be very afraid of death if their heart isn't right with God and they're not in good standing with him. That Christian; you know, the one not in good standing with God? That’s a Christian who’s fallen away from their first love. And that Christian; you know, the one whose heart isn't right with God? They have every reason to be fearful of death. Yes, they do. But why?

Because Christians who pass from this life to the next while in a far from God state might not make it into Heaven. Yes indeed, they do have every reason to fear death. If one dies while in this state they’ll face possible eternal separation from the Lord. That’s something to be very fearful of! This is why God himself implores those who've drifted away to return to him. “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist, return to me, for I have redeemed you.” Isaiah 44:22. And this: "I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.” Jeremiah 24:7. If you're distant from God then you’re aware of this fact: you need to close that distance and get back to where you belong with the Lord.

He’s waiting for you right where you left him. You'll have to come back to him, of course, but I want to assure you he's been waiting faithfully all this time. "Create in me a pure heart, O God; and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Psalms 51:10-12. This should be your cry if you’re far from God right now. Clean my heart, Lord. Renew a steadfast spirit in me. I need your presence, Lord; so don't take the Holy Spirit away. Restore me, oh Lord. Restore me! Believe me, he will. Once you're restored to him you'll have no need to fear death at all! And why should we fear death anyway? It's just the step we must take as we pass from this life to the next!’ – To be continued. – God bless you and keep you. – In the love of our Lord, Rev. Ray and Carol, 6/4/2026.

“Peaceful Protests?” – ‘A lot has been said about the recent protests. They’re not really protests, as far as I’m concerned. What we’re seeing is anarchy. What we’re seeing is activism. What we’re seeing is violence and disruption and cruelty. Peaceful protesting is all right, as far as I am concerned. The voice of the people should be heard, but this violence is wrong. The destruction? Also wrong. Nothing good will come from this, only pain and suffering. Although my wife and I advocate peaceful protests, we’ve yet to see it. In some states devastation has been rampant. Minneapolis. Los Angeles. Chicago. Even here in Phoenix, people are assaulting fellow citizens. They’re blocking streets and causing a great deal of destruction. That’s not protest. That’s violence for the sake of violence.

The use of the National Guard and ICE has proven to be effective, and we should obey our Presidents' call to prayer. I don't like using this venue for such a thing as this, but I'm calling for all Christians across our country to unite in prayer for our President, our leadership, our police and military, but most of all for peace. It's time that we flexed our spiritual muscles, Christians, and get after this problem with prayer, our most effective weapon! Yes, it's time for us to do what we need to do; pray! Romans 12:12 says, “continuing instant in prayer.” At all times. Everywhere. Be instant in prayer and continue to do so! Ephesians 6:18: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” Don't stop. Get in the Spirit and keep on praying. James 5:16: “The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” There's power in prayer and believe me, we need that power right now!

There’s been a fourth attempt to kill President Trump. This is insanity! We need to put some faith with our prayers: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them,” Mark 11:24. Don't just pray. Believe what you're praying for and believe that you'll receive an answer to those prayers, the peace we so desperately need right now! It's a time for continuous prayers, so “Pray without ceasing,” 1st Thessalonians 5:17. Lift up your prayers with ours in a corporate effort to besieged the very throne of God for his help in this situation. Desperate times call for desperate measures. This is a very desperate time. We need heartfelt prayers of desperation complete with tears running down our face that our Lord Jesus Christ will intervene on our behalf and end this violence, hatred and anger. Amen? Amen!’ – God bless you and keep you. – In the love of our Lord, Rev. Ray and Carol, 6/3/2026.
