It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our longtime member, Sis. Elizabeth Toelken.

Affectionately known as "Liz," she was a devoted participant in our ministry and a cherished part of our church family. Her warmth, hospitality, and energetic presence will be greatly missed by all.

We ask that you please respect the family's privacy during this time of mourning and continue to keep them in your prayers.

Information regarding service arrangements will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

Motherhood is often framed in terms of sacrifice and nurturing, but let's also recognize the quiet strength and spiritual leadership mothers provide.

They are tasked which shaping our faith from an early age and modeling values that shape future generations. Their impact extends far beyond the home, influencing our communities and workplaces and have for centuries been a foundation for the body of Christ.

Today, Let's acknowledge the profound role of mothers in fostering a more compassionate, faithful and loving world.

Today is the National Day of Prayer, and Bethesda Community Baptist Church is opening its doors for a time of prayer for our community, our nation, and the world — that all would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
