Not a TON of produce varieties this week, it seems with the start of the season there isn't a ton bring left unsold for us to need to rescue. So in some ways it's great news, that there isn't that much excess produce right now headed to the landfill that would need to be rescued. Not so great for our supporters because you don't get as many varieties, but we still have produce that needs a good home!

Most of our 9 Borderlands' Produce On Wheels With-Out Waste event locations this week will be getting a box looking like this. A few locations will be getting beef tomatoes instead (or in addition to) of these roma tomatoes. A few locations will have eggplant and one location will also get red bell peppers.

A great box in preparation for thanksgiving, or even to share with others who might be in need this time of year. Remember, our mission is to curb food waste, so while you may not want SOOOO much squash, we are confident you can still find a good home for our rescued produce and help support our work so we can keep rescuing more produce.

Make the upcoming weekend a productive one. Before you pick up a food box on Saturday, you can get tested for COVID-19.

Dayspring-UMC will be hosting a COVID testing event at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Phoenix, AZ on Saturday, September 26, from 7:00 am to 11:30 am in partnership with Valle del Sol.

The testing is free, and ID is encouraged, but not required. The only thing you'll need to provide is contact information to receive your results.
