Today we celebrate an incredible milestone: 5 years of sobriety!

Five years ago, Melanie made the courageous decision to pursue a different path. Through challenges, setbacks, victories, and growth, God's grace has sustained her every step of the way.

Her journey is a reminder that transformation is not found in perfection, but in trusting the Lord and faithfully taking one step at a time.

Today, we praise God for His faithfulness and for the work He continues to do in Melanie's life. Five years of sobriety is a testimony to His grace, mercy, and sustaining power.

At The Bridge to Hope, we believe lasting transformation is possible through Christ, community, and consistent support. Melanie's journey is a powerful reminder of that truth.

"Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." — Philippians 1:6

Join us in celebrating this milestone and praying for God's continued strength, healing, and hope in the years ahead.

Eighteen years ago today, Jennifer graduated from The Bridge to Hope.

She entered our program on February 22, 2006 with her three-month-old twin daughters and everything they owned in two garbage bags. When her church team arrived to pick her up, they told her:

“We are here to take you home.”

Jennifer once shared that she hadn’t had a place to call home in 12 years.

On May 12, 2008, she graduated from The Bridge to Hope. But that wasn’t the end of her story—it was the beginning of restoration. Today, Jennifer is over 21 years sober, serving others in recovery, and the little girls she carried into the program as babies are now young women with dreams, purpose, and faith.

From hopelessness to wholeness.
From surviving to thriving.
From two garbage bags to a legacy of God's redemption.

God is faithful.

The love of Jesus is present

A testimony from a momma whos graduated rhis program in 2006: A lot has changed since getting to share in this video…BUT the LORD has Not! I re-watched this video and came to tears. Full of gratitude for what the Lord has done for so many single mommas through The Bridge to hope and through First Southern my sponsoring church and other chuch families that sponsor the moms who choose this ministry. I am so thankful to every single person that God put in my life specifically...for a specific reason ALL for His Glory! I’ve reflected a lot on what God has done to resurrect what was dead in me. I had no idea how sick i was until i had to relearn the basics of life all over again. Then again through a divorce. Then when becoming an empty ester. Then in my momma passing. These testimonies show the Power of the resurrection of Jesus, in our lives. He brings alive what was once dead in us, IF we let him! Praise the Lord for loving me in-spite of me. Thank you first southern for your love and support for so many years and thank you The Bridge to hope for believing in me. I am grateful to my mentors for loving me through the hard seasons for 23 plus years! O praise the One who paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead!!! Sing with me! Let’s fill the heavens with our praises for He alone is good and He alone is worthy of our praise

Not all heroes wear capes… some bring crafts, games, or a simple way to make a kid smile.

We’re looking for churches and organizations to host FREE activity tables at Hope on Fire on April 25—and this is your moment to show up in a hands-on, joy-filled way.

Help us with a meaningful activity that creates connection, laughter, and a space where families feel seen and welcomed.

This is what the Church looks like outside the walls—loving people.

If your group has a heart to serve and a little creativity to share, we’d love to have you be part of it.

Get to Know Hope On Fire

Hope On Fire is more than an event — it’s a community gathering with purpose. Hosted by The Bridge to Hope, this day brings together local vendors, churches, families, and volunteers to create something beautiful: connection, generosity, and real support for homeless single mothers working toward stability and independence.

This is faith in action. It’s joy with a mission. It’s fun that fuels transformation.

So how can you get involved?

VENDORS
Register to have a booth. Share your products. Meet amazing families.
Your presence elevates the event — and your participation directly supports moms who are rebuilding their lives. It’s good business and good impact in the same Saturday. Sign up on our website.

CHURCHES & ORGANIZATIONS
Host a free children’s activity table or join the Farmers Market portion and donate proceeds to The Bridge to Hope.
This is a simple, tangible way to show your congregation what loving your neighbor actually looks like. Sign up on our website.

VOLUNTEERS
We need hands, hearts, muscle, smiles — all of it.
Set-up crew, hospitality team, kids’ activities, prayer team, clean-up squad. If you can show up, you can serve. No cape required.

Hope On Fire is where community meets calling.
Come sell. Come serve. Come show up.

Let’s light something bigger than ourselves.

Behind this sign at The Bridge to Hope, a mother is showing up, focusing, and doing the work.

Because our donors and church partners believe in mothers, learning is happening here.
Thank You, Jesus, for the gift of learning—and for a community willing to stand in the gap for families.

This is the heart of The Bridge to Hope.

We were reminded how powerful walking together is! We are not alone in this journey. When you all showed up, so did your love and encouragement. Knowing that…it gives hope, love and joy in our hearts! Your presence was priceless and it encouraged us to keep pressing on. Thanking jesus for all He does for us! Thank you for supporting our moms and their children. Thank you for supporting our future moms and their children. Thank you for supporting our future location. Gods timing is perfect, we wait upon the Lord.
