CHORAL EVENSONG on Wednesday, November 20 at 7 PM to keep the Feast of St. Cecilia, patron saint of music and musicians! The music planned for this service is some of the finest music in our tradition; the choir has been working on music for this service since September, including Orlando di Lasso's 16th century ode to music, Musica Dei donum (Music, gift of God), Benjamin Britten's Hymn to St Cecilia — a classic in 20th century choral repertoire — and a glorious, meditative new setting of the Magnificat and Nunc dimittis by Sarah Rimkus.
