Pastor Bronson Taylor Warns Community About Online Gift Card Scam
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Pastor Bronson Taylor of 91 Outreach, Inc. is warning members of the community about an online scam in which individuals falsely claim to be him and request payments through Apple gift cards.
Pastor Taylor became aware of the scam after receiving reports through social media and reviewing text message exchanges between victims and individuals impersonating him.
“This is absolutely horrific,” said Pastor Taylor. “I strongly condemn these scammers for preying on innocent people who believe they are communicating with me. My hope is that by raising awareness, we can prevent others from becoming victims.”
According to reports, the scammers contact individuals while posing as Pastor Taylor and request money in the form of Apple gift cards. Gift cards are a common payment method used in scams because funds can be difficult to recover once they have been redeemed.
Pastor Taylor emphasized that neither he nor 91 Outreach, Inc. will request payments through Apple gift cards or similar methods.
Community members are encouraged to exercise caution when receiving unexpected requests for money, gift cards, or personal information. Anyone who receives a message claiming to be Pastor Taylor and wishes to verify its authenticity should contact 91 Outreach directly at [email protected].
