Popham Chapel is over 120 years old and sits on beautiful Atkins Bay at the mouth of the mighty Kennebec River in the quaint Popham Village of Phippsburg, Maine. The Chapel's simple antiquity, stained glass windows and vintage center aisle provide a perfect setting for a unique, ocean-front wedding. We have seating for 118 of your family, loved ones and best friends, and ample on-site parking is a

vailable for guests behind the Chapel and Chapel House. The Popham Chapel also provides the option of hosting the wedding reception either at the adjacent Chapel House for intimate weddings (capacity for 50 people) or on the spacious Chapel grounds where a catered tent reception can be easily held. Popham Chapel provides the perfect venue for a romantic Maine destination wedding. It offers the opportunity to have a traditional church wedding with a classic center aisle allowing for a formal wedding processional. The added option of an on-site reception provides an easy and seamless transition from the ceremony to the reception festivities. The venue is a photographer’s paradise with panoramic views and white sand beaches. And the wedding party and guests will enjoy the gentle salt air breezes and tranquillity of Popham Village.
