SURE MERCIES OF DAVID .PT4.
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. Act.13.34.
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. ISAIAH 55:3
Incline your ear" just means really listen to God—not with your ears, but with your heart. When you do, your tired soul comes back to life.
· The "sure mercies of David" are God's unbreakable, guaranteed promises of love and kindness. They aren't based on how good you are, but on God's faithfulness.
· The resurrection of Jesus is the proof that these promises are for you. Because Jesus rose forever and will never die again, His mercy isn't temporary—it's permanent and certain.
· What this means for you: You don't have to earn God's favor. Even when you mess up, His mercy lifts you up. Your past, sickness, and failure have no power over you because Jesus defeated corruption forever.
