TRiO Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) at the University of Pennsylvania is currently recruiting for the Summer 2019 Semester. They will be at the Coatesville VA Medical Center on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 9:30am to 5pm in Building 57, Room B14 (Computer Lab).

PLEASE SHARE! :)

VUB is funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant. They provide 160 low-socioeconomic military Veterans a year with intensive pre-college, non-credited courses to prepare them to enroll into any college or technical school of their choice. All VUB services are free and includes all books and supplies in addition to the 19 hours of class time and 12 hours of tutoring offered each week.

Please help us spread the word. Interested Veterans should call 215-898-6892 to schedule time to meet with VUB and begin the intake process. The intake process typically takes two sessions and the process starts with an online academic assessment. Veterans should bring their DD214 (if you do not have your DD214, we can assist you in ordering a copy).

Today is a somber day for the STM Class of 1966. On this day in 1967 our classmate, John Allen, sacrificed his all in the service of the United States and the Marine Corps. Just think of all that we classmates have enjoyed over the last 51 years that John wasn't able to. After the past weekend of giving thanks, let us take another moment to give thanks for knowing John and his ultimate sacrifice.

The Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial is conveniently accessed at Columbus Boulevard and Spruce Street in the Penn's Landing area of Philadelphia.
