Good morning beautiful people created by God. Hope this will bless you today. Every day I'm growing, learning and puttin things into perspective.
My message to you today: STOP GETTING FRUSTRATED WITH THE POTS GOD IS USING!
I want to encourage somebody today. Stop getting aggravated, frustrated, and dismayed because the full course meal God is preparing for your life requires more than one pot!
Think about this for a min.
When you're preparing a full course meal, you don't use the same pot for everything. Every pot has its own design, its own capacity, and its own purpose. There are certain things that cook better in a frying pan, while other things require a deep pot. Some things need to be baked, some need to be fried, and others need to sit and simmer for a while.
Now, you might be able to cook everything in one pot, but just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD!
And I believe that's where many of us get frustrated in life.
God will send different people into your life, each designed to fulfill a particular purpose, but oftentimes we become upset because we're expecting one person or persons to do what another person was designed to do at another threshold in your life.
We're getting angry with the frying pan because it can't do what the casserole dish does!
We're upset because the skillet can't hold a whole pot of greens! But the problem isn't the skillet. The problem is that we're expecting something from it that it was never designed to provide.
And sometimes, that's exactly what we're doing to people putting the wrong expectations on them and how they were designed into your life!
Everybody God sends into your life is not assigned to do everything, not even our parents that we were birthed from.
One person may be there to encourage you.
Another may be there to challenge you.
Another may be there to teach you something you didn't know.
Another may be there to open a door that you couldn't open for yourself that the other people in your life don't have access to.
Another may be assigned to help carry you through one of the most difficult seasons of your life.
And somebody else may only be assigned to walk with you for a short portion of your journey.
But here's what I want you to understand: Just because somebody cannot fulfill every need in your life doesn't mean they have no value or purpose in your life!
Sometimes we become offended with people, not because they've actually failed us, but because we've placed expectations on them that God never assigned them to fulfill.
We want the frying pan to hold the greens, the casserole dish to fry the chicken, and the stockpot to do something it was never designed to do.
And then we have the nerve to get upset when things don't turn out the way we expected!
But listen
WHEN GOD IS DOING THE COOKING, HE KNOWS EXACTLY WHICH POT TO USE!
He knows when to pull out the frying pan.
He knows when to use the large pot.
He knows when something needs to simmer.
He knows when something needs high heat.
And He knows when something simply needs more time.
God knows exactly who to bring into your life, what they're supposed to contribute, and how long they're supposed to be a part of the process.
So stop getting frustrated because everybody doesn't have the same capacity. Stop being disappointed because one person cannot provide what another person can. And stop overlooking the value of the people God has placed around you simply because they don't function the way you expected them to.
You have to learn how to appreciate people for the purpose they serve without demanding that they become something God never designed them to be!
And here's something else I want you to consider.
When you're cooking a full course meal, everything doesn't finish at the same time.................. Again EVERYTHING doesn't finish at the same time lolol
The greens may still be simmering while the chicken is already done. The macaroni may still be in the oven while the rice is sitting on the stove. But just because one dish is finished before another doesn't mean the entire meal is ready!
And that's how God is working in your life
Some things have already come together. Some prayers have already been answered. Some people have already completed their assignment. But there are still some things God is preparing that haven't finished cooking yet!
Your life is still being prepared.
Your purpose is still cooking.
Your testimony is still coming together.
And when God finally places the entire meal on the table, you gon understand why every pot, every person, every season, every delay, and every experience was necessary.
Don't judge the meal while God is still cooking
You may not understand why certain people came into your life. You may not understand why some people could only take you so far. And you may not understand why God is taking so much time to bring everything together.
But I want to remind you of what the Word of God says, this is what I go back to.
Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
In other words, GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU YET!
And if He's not finished, then stop getting upset because everything aint ready!
There are still some ingredients being added. There are still some people who have an assignment in your life. There are still some lessons you have to learn, some seasons you have to walk through, and some things that simply need more time.
But when it's all said and done, and God has finished what He started, you'll look back and realize that nothing He allowed to be used in the process was without purpose.
*****SO HERE'S MY ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU TODAY:
Stop getting angry with the pots!
Stop expecting everybody to carry the same load!
Stop trying to force people into assignments they were never designed to fulfill!
And most importantly, stop rushing God because you think the meal should be ready by now!
The MASTER Cook knows what He doing!
And if God is the One preparing the meal, you can rest assured that when everything comes together, it will be worth the wait!
TRUST THE COOK. TRUST THE PROCESS. AND LET GOD FINISH WHAT HE STARTED
