This institute course has been all about helping us see the Lord in our everyday lives. This next week we'll bring it all together and ask you to share, not just what you have learned, but what you have seen and felt over the past months. Have you felt Him breathing life or energy into you? Have you felt new ideas come to you like a flood or like water from a well? Have you felt prompted to burn away some sacrifice in your life? Has molded you like clay? Has He used his light to show you something about Him, about you, or about your life? If "yes" to any of these, we need to hear about it. If "no", then you need to hear what others will say.

Regardless, we want all students--whether you've been every class, only once, or not only once--to join with us this Thursday for a Pizza Party at 6:30 and then a powerful learning and testimony experience at 7:00.

Last week we heard God say, "Let there be light" and talked about just what that means and what that light does for us. This week we are going to bring that light into our own personal lamps so that the Lord's word can be a "lamp [can be] a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Practically: we're going to study lamps in the Hebrew Bible and then talk expert scripture study skills for our own lives. Want to power up your scripture study? Want to better use scriptures to prep talks, lessons, or just your own study? Preparing for a mission (or recently home from one) and what that next level of scripture study? Come make a lamp this Thursday.

We've studied "breath"; we've studied "water"; this week we study "fire" in our ongoing quest to more frequently feel the spirit or God direct our lives.

What would you need to, want to, and be willing to sacrifice in your life to feel the spirit of God more often or more clearly?

That's the questions at the heart of our study this week in institute (and a delicious baked potato and salad bar with dessert will be in our stomach this week in institute).

Feeling alone? Trying to figure out difficult relationships? Want to learn and share with others how to start and sustain powerful ones? Institute tonight is for you!

Wanna see something scary (yes, that's me in the purple hair...and yes, I can do the dance that goes with the costume).

Wanna study something scary? On the night before Halloween (this Thursday) we're having a special "scary" Institute class where we'll kick off three weeks' worth of scary studies that include relationships ("Ahhh!") in two weeks, overwhelm ("Please no!") next week, and this week, anxiety ("I'm so scared!"). Our study may wind us through death, ghosts, and ultimately land us at an ancient antidote for anxiety that will draw us to the temple.

All of that AND chicken enchilada casserole and pumpkin bars for dessert!
