Dear New Calvary Baptist Church Family,

Over the past several weeks, I have spent much time praying and reflecting on the work God has entrusted to us.

Our core group of faithful members has worked tirelessly all year long. Week after week, you have consistently shown up, rolled up your sleeves, and served—not only within the walls of the church but throughout our many community outreach initiatives. We have even expanded our outreach by adding a second day for Clarence’s Closet and Tina’s Touch because of the growing need in our community.

While the need is great, I also recognize that those who faithfully serve need time to rest, refresh, and be renewed. We cannot continue pouring into others if we never take time to be poured into ourselves.

Therefore, after much prayer, careful thought, and consideration, I have decided that all New Calvary Baptist Church activities for the month of August 2026 will be suspended, with the exception of Sunday Morning Prayer (9:30 a.m.) and Sunday Morning Worship Service (10:00 a.m.).

This includes, but is not limited to:

Tina’s Touch
Clarence’s Closet
Men’s Ministry
Women’s Ministry
Children’s Ministry
Bible Study
Prayer Services
Ministry meetings
Community outreach events
All other church activities

All ministries and programs will resume the week following our 53rd Church Anniversary Celebration in September.

Thank you for your unwavering faithfulness, your servant’s heart, and your commitment to advancing God’s Kingdom. My prayer is that each of you will use this time to rest, spend time with your families, enjoy the remainder of the summer, and return refreshed and ready to finish 2026 stronger than ever.

I am excited about what God has in store for New Calvary Baptist Church, and I look forward to finishing this year STRONG! 🙌
