CARING FOR GOD'S CREATION AT ST. TIM'S
Thanks to a grant from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Lutheran Synod's Care of Creation Ministry--and to the hard work of the Scouts and parents of Troop 226 this Saturday--St. Tim's now has PA-native perennials and freshly-mulched plantings.

See the photos below--but come take an IRL look, too.

THE HOLY TRINITY

05/30/2026

Dear ones, the days of our Summer for 2026 have been given to us as a gift of this weekend. Labor day is later than you would normally encounter it. What to do, what to do?

Synod Assembly opened last night, and continues today. Bishop Penman and Pr. Manson broke open the topic of last week's message in worship...."The Unfinished Church." While I think we do best by continually, growing and learning and really seeing our neighbor, Image Dei calls us to wonder what if.....

What if we saw every person we encountered as called and loved by God? What if we were honest about our humanness and the ways in which we struggle to see the faults of our beloved Church (big "C" meaning the denomination and beyond)?

What if we lay in a deck chair and watch the clouds. What if we stopped and Listened. Looked. Prayed. and Sought out God. Here is a starter idea. A start to listening differently, more fresher, and with vibrancy. The New York Times offers us ONE way to get off the hurdling train this summer. I haven't had a summer read for years. I think this year I will return. Ive already got 3 books on the pile....

"What is this stray weekend we find ourselves with between Memorial Day and June? A byproduct of this longest possible unofficial summer, a strange gift of a weekend between spring and the month in which summer officially begins. A perfect weekend, I think, for determining our reading plans for this summer......"

What is your idea for the summer??

ST. TIM'S SAYS GOOD-BYE AND THANKS TO A PRESCHOOL TREASURE
At Friday's Pre-K class graduation, Pastor Kathleen Kerin read a letter of farewell/appreciation and presented a gift from the congregation to Mrs. Donna Forcina, who is retiring after nearly four decades of teaching. Her bright smile and gentle manner made Donna a favorite of students, parents, and staff.

We wish you all the best in this next chapter of your life, Donna!

GREETINGS FROM ROBERT “BOB” SCHILLER
Always quick to help—and to smile—as a longtime member of St. Tim’s, Robert reports that he’s working hard at his daily physical therapy and enjoying the other residents and staff at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home.
Rich and Liz Soltan (pictured) recently “inspected” his new quarters. No surprise—Robert had everything in in ship-shape order!

"HOLY KNIT WITS" TAKE PART IN CELEBRATION OF STAFF EXCELLENCE AT JEANES HOSPITAL TODAY
Some of St. Tim's most dedicated knitters-prayers -- Val Filipenko, Anna Molnar, and Barbara Huber--were unable to attend, but Pastor Sandra Brown and Liz Soltan were glad to distribute prayer shawls to all who asked.
