United Muslim Masjid (UMM) was established in 1998. From the beginning we’ve tried diligently to adhere to the Quran & Sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ. Over the years we have been led by numerous Imams whom have studied abroad. Currently Allah عزّ وجلّ has blessed us with the knowledgeable and firm Imam Hanif Fouse حفظه الله. In addition to Imam Hanif Allah ﷻ has also blessed us with Dr. Tahir Wyatt حفظه الل

ه whom is the first & only American to teach at the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله و صحبه وسلم masjid in Madinah. The duo has helped us assert our continued dedication to get closer to Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ‎ by providing superb leadership and multifaceted educational programs which aide the Muslims in learning our Deen.

What does it mean to truly love and honor what Allah ﷻ values? In this khutbah, we reflect on the importance of aligning our hearts, priorities, and actions with what is beloved to Allah, strengthening our faith, character, and connection to Him.

Listen, reflect, and share with others.

We are drawn to what fulfills our needs. If we believe money provides comfort, we strive for it. But who truly provides? Allah provides all – the food, the clothing, the means for our families. Without His provisions, nothing else matters. This is the ultimate evidence of His right to be loved and obeyed.

The Prophet ﷺ shared the greatest statement: 'La ilaha illallah, wahdahu la sharika lah' - There is no God but Allah, alone, with no partner. This truth combats boredom and guides our devotion, love, and reliance solely to our Creator. Let's reconnect with Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated that no deeds done in the ten days of Dhul Hijjah are better than any other days. This includes jihad, except for the one who goes forth and does not return with their wealth or life.

Join us for Jumu’ah as we reflect on the sacred days of Hajj and the powerful meaning of the Day of Arafah. This khutbah will remind us of the call of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام, the unity of the Ummah, and the mercy of Allah that descends upon His servants during these blessed days.

Even for those not making Hajj, Arafah is a time to renew our faith, increase in duʿā’, seek forgiveness, and reconnect with the purpose of our lives: complete submission to Allah.

Key themes: sacrifice, repentance, unity, duʿā’, and returning to Allah with a sincere heart.
