Regarding today’s sermon: We and (Rev Jones) at cookman are Pro Choice - I believe even if a conceived embryo is aborted - the family, friends, parents are still spoken to by God in a way that every conception glorifies God who sustains the mother, father, friend or kin thru their sadness, pain, or grief. I believe there will come a day when there will be no need for medical abortion; a day when all children born can thrive and all women facing pregnancy after the trauma of ill-health, r**e, poverty, sickness, genetic mishap, crisis, or emotional turmoil can be lovingly provided for. Until that day, it’s kind to care for the folk already here they all of the vicissitudes of life and not to add further trauma of carrying a child to term. Like most pro-choice folk - I pray late term abotion will never be necessary except to protect the life of the mother. I do not believe any of this should be legislated. But it is a decision for mothers with consultation if appropriate with their doctor and appropriate loved ones (if any exist that would not cause more trauma).🙏🏾
