What? — Acts 2:12–13 (KJV) explores the reaction of the crowd to the extraordinary events surrounding Pentecost. When the people asked, “What meaneth this?”, they were confronted with something they could not easily explain. This sermon challenges us to examine how we respond when God moves in unexpected ways, reminding us that faith requires us to look beyond what we understand and seek what God is revealing.

True faithfulness is forged in the quiet, unnoticed moments of life. In the sermon "Faithful in What Seems to be Insignificant," we explore the hidden backstory of one of the Bible's greatest heroes before he ever faced a giant. Based on 1 Samuel 17:1–15, the passage sets a dramatic stage: the Philistine army faces off against Israel, and Goliath steps forward to terrorize God's people. King Saul and his seasoned soldiers are paralyzed by fear. Yet, while his older brothers are on the frontlines chasing status and military glory, young David is nowhere near the battlefield.
Instead, verse 15 reveals David’s true character: "but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.
"While a nation’s destiny hung in the balance, David was sent back to the mundane, repetitive, and lonely task of shepherding. To the world, his assignment was completely insignificant. However, it was precisely in those quiet pastures that David developed the courage, intimacy with God, and obedience needed for his future.

in "Speaking Days"

Job 32: 1-9
32 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.

5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.

6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
