Here’s a preview of the “Hymn to St. William,” which our multicultural choir will sing at our parish patron’s feast day Mass tonight at 7 pm. The hymn was composed by our late pastor emeritus, Msgr. James E. Mortimer, and Donald Coakley. Performance by Ken Houser.

Today is the feast day of our beloved patron, St. William of Vercelli. And we are ready to celebrate!

Tonight (June 25) at 7 pm we will be having a procession of the Blessed Sacrament around the neighborhood of St. William Church, followed by a multicultural Mass, which will be celebrated in English with a multicultural choir, at 7:30 pm.

We’re continuing to get ready for the feast of our patron, St. William of Vercelli, with our parish mission.

Join us for 40 Hours’ Devotion and the second of our talks tonight at 7 pm. We’ll have Evening Prayer with a reflection on “Taming the Beast,” which will explore how the Eucharist transforms our “inner wolves” of anger, pride, jealousy, and resentment.

The feast of our patron, St. William of Vercelli, is almost here, and we’re ready to celebrate with a parish mission.

Join us for 40 Hours’ Devotion and talks, beginning tonight at 7 pm. We’ll have Evening Prayer with a reflection on “The Mountain of Silence,” which will explore solitude, digital noise, and the table of Communion.

St. William found God in total isolation, walking barefoot across Europe at age 15 and climbing a 4,000-foot mountain. We can learn from him to cultivate our own “inner desert” so we can hear God’s voice and truly encounter Christ in the profound silence of Holy Communion.

We were blessed to see more than two dozen receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this past Saturday at the hands of Auxiliary Bishop John McIntyre of Philadelphia. Like Baptism, this sacrament is given only once, and (also like Baptism) “imprints on the soul an indelible spiritual mark.” Confirmation increases baptismal grace and unites us more firmly to Christ (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1302-1305).

Come, Holy Spirit — and remain with us always!
