“When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit..”- Acts 2:1-4

We were blessed to see more than two dozen receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this past Saturday at the hands of Auxiliary Bishop John McIntyre of Philadelphia. Like Baptism, this sacrament is given only once, and (also like Baptism) “imprints on the soul an indelible spiritual mark.” Confirmation increases baptismal grace and unites us more firmly to Christ (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1302-1305).

Come, Holy Spirit — and remain with us always!

Night Prayer at 11 pm

“Brothers and sisters: I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, ‘This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.” — 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
