On September 17, Assumption of the Holy Virgin’s “Childless Christians” Group visited the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza in Oaks, PA. We enjoyed seeing fantastic works of art, while trying to work out how pieces were constructed.

Sprazdnikom! On Thursday, August 6, the parish celebrated the Great Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord! After Divine Liturgy, Father Mark blessed fruit brought by the parishioners in observance of the Feast and in appreciation for God’s love for us!

Troparion: Thou was transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, / revealing Thy glory to Thy disciples as far as they could bear it. / Let Thy everlasting Light also shine upon us sinners, / through the prayers of the Theotokos. / O Giver of Light, glory to Thee!

On Saturday afternoon, August 1, over 20 parishioners participated in the distribution of fresh produce to our community neighbors. Over 50 bags of fruit and vegetables were handed out to those in our neighborhood. It was a success for our first time hosting this type of event with all the produce given out within a 2 hours span. We are looking forward to holding this event again sometime next month. 🙏☦️
