🚑 Hatzolah of Philadelphia Annual Fundraiser Has Begun 🚑

Hatzolah of Philadelphia is proud to serve our community 24/7, providing rapid, life-saving emergency medical care — free of charge — whenever and wherever it is needed.

This year marks a historic milestone for our organization.

We have officially launched Advanced Life Support (ALS) services and added two new ambulances to our fleet. This makes Hatzolah of Philadelphia the first Hatzolah organization in Pennsylvania to provide this higher level of pre-hospital care — bringing more advanced treatment directly to patients in critical moments.

With this growth comes increased responsibility — and significantly higher costs. Advanced equipment, specialized training, and expanded operations are essential to maintaining the level of care our community depends on.

Our annual fundraiser is what makes all of this possible.

We are asking our community, friends, and supporters to partner with us in continuing this vital mission. Every donation directly supports saving lives.

Together, we can ensure that Hatzolah remains ready to respond — anytime, anywhere.

Thank you for your continued support. ❤️

Hatzolah of Philadelphia is deeply disturbed by the reported attack on emergency service vehicles serving the Jewish community in London. Acts of violence targeting those who dedicate themselves to saving lives are particularly troubling and strike at the core of basic human decency.

Hatzolah volunteers respond to calls regardless of background, religion, or circumstance, with one mission: to provide immediate, lifesaving care. An attack on emergency responders is an attack on the entire community.

We stand in solidarity with our colleagues and the broader Jewish community in London, and we hope those responsible are swiftly brought to justice. We remain committed to our mission of protecting and serving all those in need.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer denounced the “deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack” early Monday in Golders Green, a neighborhood with a large Jewish population.

There’s no such thing as a coincidence.

One of our Hatzolah of Philadelphia members, W10 – Uri Weitz, and his family are currently staying at a hotel after their home was damaged in the recent ice storm. A leak in the roof led to part of the ceiling collapsing in their children’s bedroom, and the insurance company placed them at the Courtyard Marriott on City Avenue.

As W10 – RabbiUri W was walking through the hotel lobby with his Hatzolah equipment, heading upstairs to his room, a young child suddenly ran out from the pool area to the front desk, urgently asking someone to call 911. An 8-year-old boy had fallen and hit his head on the side of the pool.

Because he was there — at that exact moment, with his equipment — immediate care was able to be provided.

Sometimes Hashem reminds us that we are exactly where we are meant to be, exactly when we are needed. What looked like a disruption to normal life became an opportunity to help save another.

May the child have a complete and speedy recovery, and may we continue to be worthy messengers to help others when called upon.

🚨 Today, volunteers from Philadelphia Hatzolah had the privilege of meeting with Captain Eugene J. Pasternak of the Lower Merion Police Department.

We shared the mission and operations of Hatzolah, highlighting how our volunteer-based emergency medical service is committed to saving lives with speed, compassion, and professionalism. It was also an opportunity to explore avenues for collaboration and coordination, ensuring even stronger emergency response for the communities we serve.

We’re grateful for the time, openness, and dedication of Captain Pasternak and look forward to working together to enhance public safety across the region. 💪👮‍♂️🚑
