So happy to announce we Calvary Center has received $750,000 grant from the William Penn Foundation toward our roof and artist incubation project! The roof project is essential to all our future maintenance and restoration projects. Together with the Commonwealth LSA and the RACP we will complete the roof project est 1.5 mil per the master architectural plan. Next up sanctuary restoration!!

We are so so happy to announce that we have been awarded $250000 from the Commonwealth LSA Share Account! It is entirely targeted toward the roof renovation that we have as priority one for our building repair project. Let us know if you are curious to see our master architectural plan.

April 2025 -

This June, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to hold space for our community. At the Calvary Center, that commitment shows up in many ways: as a venue, yes, but more importantly, as a third space. A place between home and work where people can gather to rest, reflect, organize, and simply be.

The Thanksgiving Play, a satirical comedy by Larissa Fasthorse, centers around a group of four well-meaning but culturally insensitive white theater artists who attempt to create a politically correct elementary school play about the first Thanksgiving while struggling with their own biases and the lack of Native representation.
