Ever been ignored after sending a text or making a call? It stings even worse when you see the person is active online, posting on social media, proving nothing is wrong. That silence feels intentional.

Why does God allow things to die? He wants the glory, to show His love, and to build our faith. He wants us to understand His power over death, because dead things have no rule over what He declares.

He said Lazarus is dead, and for your sake, I'm glad I wasn't there. It sounds harsh, but it's so that you may believe. Sometimes, God lets things die to shift our focus from what we're believing in to Him.

Why Did You Let It Die?
Sermon Only
Rev. Keith W. Reed Jr.

John 11:2–6, 14–15, 21–27, 39–44

In this powerful message from the story of Lazarus, Rev. Keith W. Reed Jr. challenges believers to trust God even when situations appear dead, delayed, or beyond repair. Martha and Mary questioned why Jesus waited, but His delay was not a denial. Through the resurrection of Lazarus, we discover that God often allows certain things to die so that His glory, power, and purpose can be revealed in greater ways.

This sermon reminds us that broken dreams, stalled ministries, damaged relationships, and personal setbacks are never beyond the reach of God's resurrection power. Jesus declares, "I am the resurrection and the life," proving that what seems finished to us is only an opportunity for God to demonstrate His authority and bring new life.

Key Verses
John 11:25 – "I am the resurrection and the life..."
John 11:39 – "Take ye away the stone."
John 11:43 – "Lazarus, come forth."
John 11:44 – "Loose him, and let him go."

A Real Conversion Experience
Bible Study
Bishop Keith W. Reed Sr.

In Acts 9, Saul's dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus reveals what a genuine conversion experience looks like. Conversion is more than an emotional moment—it is a life-changing encounter with Christ that transforms our direction, purpose, and destiny.

Bishop Reed highlighted several marks of a real conversion experience:

You must see the light. Saul's encounter with Christ exposed the reality of who Jesus is and revealed the truth about his own life.
You must fall from what you've been trusting. Saul was knocked from his position of self-reliance and forced to depend on God.
You begin asking questions. A converted heart desires to know Christ more deeply and understand His will.

You learn obedience. Saul responded to God's instructions and began following a new voice—the voice of Jesus.

You discover purpose. God transformed Saul from a persecutor of believers into a chosen vessel for the Kingdom.

You embrace God's assignments despite opposition. Like Ananias, believers are called to trust God even when His instructions seem difficult or uncomfortable.

The message reminds us that when Jesus changes your heart, He also changes your direction, your purpose, and your destiny. A real conversion experience leads to transformation, obedience, and a willingness to fulfill God's purpose for your life.
