Join us for a press conference at the ICE headquarters tomorrow, September 18th, at 12 noon, once again calling out the corruption of this rogue organization that brutalizes and kills immigrant neighbors and American citizens AND contributes to the deaths of its own people and cowardly tries to cover them up. Unlike ICE, we are a community that cares for all human beings and courageously stands together, demanding accountability and change.

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for our Back-To-School Drive! We had a nice amount of people come through and truly had a great time. We had over 200 bags packed thanks to all of your donations! We also had lots of food, drinks, games, etc. 🙂

🌱 Celebrating a commitment to environmental health and resilience!

On Sunday, August 2, First United Methodist Church of Germantown was honored by PA IPL for our ongoing work and commitment to environmental health, sustainability, and building a more resilient community.

We’re especially proud to celebrate Mark Smith, who accepted the church’s recognition award and was also honored as an Outstanding Volunteer for his dedication and service.

Thank you, PA IPL, for recognizing this important work and for all you do to equip communities to create a healthier, more sustainable future. We’re grateful to be part of this movement!

Our back to school event is coming up and we hope to see you there! On August 16th, 2026 we will be hosting the community for an afternoon of fun, food, and school supplies!

We are also looking for donations for this event in the form of school supplies, donations for school supplies or gift cards for school supplies that we will be giving out the day of. Donations can be sent to the church from Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM!

Your generosity is a meaningful expression of care for our community. Financial gifts and school supply donations help First United Methodist Church of Germantown support local students, serve our neighbors, and continue ministries rooted in compassion, justice, and hope.
