Praying for Biden - Harris

Heavenly Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, we come before you to lift up our country to you. Half of the country is in despair as the other half rejoices or believes that even if they cannot stand the man they elected to office, they are better off with him than Kamala.
So first and foremost, we lift up our brother and sisters in Christ, regardless of who they voted for, that we would ALL love one another, and that You would help ALL of us to keep our eyes on our KING and ONLY true Savior, Jesus Christ. No human can be our savior. So as some have looked to the president elect to fill that role, we reject that. He is NOT a savior. He is but a mere mortal, a man who is full of sin and shame, grabbing at power through deceit and manipulation.

So we pray for our brothers and sister who voted for Kamala, who voted for DT, and who did not vote at all, that we would all UNITE over Christ regardless of what happens to our country and our own comforts or suffering. For THIS WORLD is not the end nor the all, it is temporary and we are here but for a flicker of time in the grand scheme of time.
Holy Spirit, help us to be faithful to Jesus.

God, we do also lift up our elected officials, democrat, republican, or other. Please restrain them from the extent of evil they are capable of. Please awaken their consciences to do GOOD on behalf of the people of this country and our effects in the world, instead of living a life attempting to grab as much wealth, comfort, and power for themselves as they can, at the expense of those they are elected to serve.

God have mercy on our country through US Your Children, even if our government is corrupt (which it is, no matter who is president). May this be a time that spurs us on to LOVE in the midst of adversity, and to BE the change, and not just depend on others to make change.

God please help Biden and Kamala do do as much good as possible in this last 2 months of their service in office. Please God, help them to do whatever they can to secure some modicum of checks and balances in our country's government. Please spare us from a dictatorship.

Finally, please protect those who would be targets of this administration out of spite or fear or power grabs. Please protect the systems that provide for the sick and the poor. Please protect the "widow and orphan" and if need be, empower YOUR PEOPLE to protect and provide for 'the widow and the orphan". Please, if our government will not do so , please stop them from stopping us from doing so. Please protect the good deeds of Your Church, Your People.

Help us to love. Help us to walk confidently without fear because ultimately we belong to YOU and YOU LOVE YOUR CHILDREN.

And one more thing, please Holy Spirit, comfort us who are grieving this turn of events. Give us bold and wonderful ideas of how to DO GOOD in this evil world.

We pray all of this for YOUR GLORY and our good.

The Supreme Court declared that criminal law doesn’t apply when you’re Donald Trump or any other president using the powers of the office. Demand a constitutional amendment now.

Friends, it is with a heavy heart that we pray today. Heavenly Father, King Jesus, and Holy Spirit, we pray with all sincerity, that we are wrong about what we fear is coming next. We lift up the United States to you. We ask that you will curtail him from any acts that would be fueled by hatred, retribution, pride and greed. We pray that he will behave with integrity, and honor the office of President, and work with all other elected officials (regardless of party affiliation) for the true good of the citizens of the , no matter our socio-economic standing, voting record, race, or gender.

Heavenly Father, I think we would be grateful, in this instance, to be wrong about what we fear about this man and his loyalists. Please prove us wrong! I pray with every fiber of my being that the 47th president will discover a conscience, behave with decency, and have a radical conversion to follow You, and in so doing, discover what it is to love someone other than himself.

Oh Jesus, we are loyalists only to YOU. Help those of Your children who are seeking a savior in a politician (no matter the party) to open their eyes and return their undying loyalty to Jesus alone. In front of a firing squad, I will immediately flip my political party if necessary, but help us to never deny our loyalty to Jesus!

Holy Spirit, empower ALL your children, no matter what denomination of our faith we practice, and no matter where we land on the political spectrum, help us all to love one another, love all humans we encounter (loving with action, even if our affections are not matching) and be people marked by prayer. Help us to love your planet and most of all love YOU.
Please comfort us in our grief, give us hope, and empower us to work for good in our homes, communities, this country and the world.

Please also comfort I do not know if she is a Christ follower, but You do. And we ask that you would give her the gift of your salvation. Thank you for and his faithfulness to you, and his decades of service to this country.

Finally, our King, we ask that you would protect our land from civil war, and from becoming a dictatorship. We recognize that we are not facing tribulations like in the days of Nero or Hi**er, but we also pray that we do not get anywhere even close to that. Please God have mercy and help us to love one another, focusing on the completed work of Jesus and never putting our hope for a Savior onto anyone or anything else.

Only You are King, and we are forever grateful that we are citizens in YOUR kingdom, and members of YOUR family.
We praise you at all times, in joy and sorrow, in pleasure and in pain. We lift up our country to you. Please bless us and make us a blessing to the world.

This all for the glory of Jesus Christ, and the blessings that come from a Church that loves. Make us people defined by love. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit,
First and foremost, please help us, as Your children, to love one another no matter who our brothers and sisters are voting for. Please stop the deceiver from sowing seeds of distention and anger and even hate between Christ followers over politics! Help us to have our sights set on JESUS OUR KING - no matter if we live in Communist North Korea, Socialist France, or a Democracy like the USA. Lord ultimately YOU are king no matter who sits in political authority. Help us to remember that and let THAT determine how we engage with each other.

That being said, please bring Kamala into office and halt all those who would oppose a peaceful transition of power! Heavenly Father, even though our eternity is secure in you, it is a scary world and people in power can cause terrible pain and suffering. So we pray against that! We pray that Billionaires who already sit on the backs of so many people, would pay more taxes not less. We pray that the middle class would begin to expand and poverty would begin to reduce! We pray that people would value the sanctity of life for ALL people - not just the unborn.

Holy Spirit, please give believers and unbelievers the impulse to get to the poles and vote! We know that the majority of Americans are against a return of the former president, as is much of the world that seeks peace not war, and stability instead of chaos. Please inspire more and more democrats to volunteer to drive those who cannot get themselves to the polls.

We know this is but a blip within the history of earth, but it is the blip in which we live.

We pray for peace on Election Day. Please. Heavenly Father, provide the miracle of non-violence on Election Day.

And Lord, We lift up Kamala. First and foremost, if she does not know you, we pray for her salvation. Secondly, we pray for her health and vigor during this exhausting campaign. Please keep her safe from all harm and ailments. Please give her and her team vision and wisdom and skills to execute the plans.

Heavenly Father, we love you and pray for the well being of this country. Please God, we know that people are praying for DT to have a landslide victory - and so we too pray for Kamala Harris to have a landslide victory so that there can be no doubt. Please keep those who would do harm on Election Day (to people, to voting machines, to workers, etc etc) to be halted or thwarted, be it by internal or external means.

And again, please help us to LOVE each other as Christ followers, no matter who we vote for. ALL POWERS AND SYSTEMS in this world are temporary! But YOUR power and Kingdom is ETERNAL.
PRAISE BE TO JESUS CHRIST, OUR KING!

My Christian Siblings,
Christ has called us to follow Him in THE WAY OF LOVE no matter who is in political power. So please exemplify LOVE & MERCY during our elections, PRAY for whoever is elected, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER no matter how we cast our ballots! Don't act as if what happens here is all there is. Do not please satan by FIGHTING and HATING people! We are called to share Christ's love to all those we encounter. Jesus is our King, no matter who sits temporarily in political power.

Let us not live as the world, who fights and hates, but as those who have been rescued from the meaninglessness of this temporary life to an eternal life that STARTS here but certainly does not end here!

Heavenly Father,
Help us to be your beacons of LOVE. Cultures change. Political leaders change. Tyrants rise up and Tyrants die. Even Nero and Genghis Khan and Hi**er died. We all die - but how will we live? You have COMMANDED us to LOVE and show mercy. Laws will never make this world right. You made that clear through Jesus and Paul. Only Your LOVE can change people into better people. Only Your Love through us can change the world for the better.
God help us to love you and love one another.

And Holy Spirit, we lift up Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden that you would send your Holy Spirit to strengthen them, to do good and to love you and love others in spite of the hate that is perpetually thrown at them. Fill President Biden with wisdom along with his compassion.

And please help our politicians to work with one another ... something has to give! So many politician are trampling on the backs of Americans in order to gain more power, more fame, more $$. Their reward will be "in full" in this life
.. but those of us to "love mercy and seek justice, and walk humbly with our God" will have peace of mind in this life and reward in the next. God, fill your children with love and wisdom especially in a time of so much hate and selfish ambition. Help us to love one another in spite of political differences because the CROSS conquers ALL. Your LOVE is the answer to all. We come before you as KING on behalf of our country and this world. Glorify the name of JESUS through your Children, "they will know we are Christ followers by our LOVE". Amen.

Oh God, my God, we are overwhelmed, angry, and grieving. As gunmen walk into schools and murder children, and into hospitals and shoot physicians ... We cry out to you to move! God, our hearts are wrecked! Hypocrites who want to eliminate tools for abortion in controlled environments, refuse to put any restrictions whatsoever on tools of death and mass murder out in the open! They say "our prayers are with the victims families" but I cannot believe they tell any truth when they refuse to take any action.

You said that the worship and sacrifice You require is to "do justice and love mercy and walk humbly with our God." But our politicians do not seek justice, they do not offer mercy except to those who can line thier pockets, and they certainly do not walk humbly with you! LIARS! They who refuse to act are LIARS and make a mockery of the name of Jesus when they say they pray and lie!

Heavenly Father, do not let the name of Christ be mocked! Strike down, make dumb, tie the hands of those who do wickeness while claiming to know you. ... or bring them to repentance! Lord you do not take pleasure in ANYone's doom. You take pleasure in mercy. But Jesus said it is not enough to believe - we must OBEY! His commands are to love! The fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives is LOVE JOY PEACE PATIENCE KINDNESS GOODNESS FAITHFULNESS & SELF CONTROL ...

Oh God, Hatred has filled mankind's hearts for thousands of years. We are either becoming more like you or more like our demonic oppressors. There is no standing still. Help us to love one another. Help us to pray for our leaders even when they anger us. God we lift up our leaders that we trust and love, and those we know are liars and scoundrels. We lift them ALL up to You. Please give power to leaders who love you or who walk in goodness even if they do not know you. And strike down those who are evil and refuse to repent. Thank you for the opportunity of repentance - it is a gift and we pray that even our evil, self seeking, greed filled leaders would repent and be saved, and do good works! But if they refuse, please replace them.

Oh God, we also pray for strength and health for our Joe Biden He inherited a terrible mess. Please guide him and his counselors. We lift up Kamala Harris and ask that You grant her wisdom and good standing among her peers in this country and around the world.

Father, finally we do want to ask that Holly Spirit would be sent to those who are mourning loved ones killed by guns - especially those in ... and the 27 schools across the country where there were shootings so far this year.

Holy Spirit please give comfort to those who know You, and make pathways for those who know you to share your love and comfort with those who do not yet. Please bring people into your family through these tragedies. Bring about GOOD from what the enemy meant for evil. God YOUR WILL BE DONE! YOUR KINGDOM COME by Your Children LOVING each other and sharing Your love with others.

Heavenly Father, at times we are weary of our prayers for this world. One atrocity shifts, another atrocity occurs ... we pray for so much more than our own little circle of experience. But in these times when the world's events are on stage for us to see, help us to not be weary of coming to you with petitions for your mercy and grace. Holy Spirit, strengthen us for the task of our time - which is to love our neighbor and this world. Help us to love in action, those we come in contact with, and love through prayer, those we will never even meet, but who cross our TVs or our news feeds.

In that vein, today I'd like to bring before You 3 things in our world events.
1. The war in Ukraine
2. The flood in South Africa
3. The opioid crisis here in America.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the life of President Joe Biden and those who serve with him in the white house, especially his wife Dr. Jill Biden and VP Kamala Harris . And we ask that You would send Your Holy Spirit to minister to them and to guide them. Especially help President Biden and Dr Biden to seek You first in all they do, and love you with their whole heart so that they may act in wisdom and for good.

But we also want to lift up world events that burden our hearts. Heavenly Father, Please comfort and fill with courage the Ukrainians who love You and who are fighting to save their country. Heavenly Father, we know You did not design war, but You allow it because You have given humans a free will, and we often make very bad choices based on sins of pride and greed. We are grateful that You do not manage us like a puppeteer, but we do ask that You would intervene. Please fill Your Ukranian children with love, hope, comfort and courage! And we pray that You would grant them victory! Confuse the Russian forces. Whisper ideas to Putin that will cause failure!

And we pray that YOU would intervene and spare the world from a Nuclear bomb. Heavenly Father, this prospect leaves us without even the words to use ... So I simply ask, please spare the world from this grief.

Jesus, please also send Holy Spirit to South Africa to fill Your children there with courage and hope in the wake of the flood that took so many lives and left so many homeless. I cannot even imagine the pain of so much loss. Please fill Your children with so much love and energy that they would be the most diligent workers in the rescue and recovery efforts. Help those who lost their homes to be filled with hope that overflows out of them to their friends and neighbors and testifies to Your reality and Your goodness in the midst of tragedy. Lord, their circumstances may be painful, but their experience of the situation will be totally different if they cling to You in the midst of the tragedy. Be their comfort, their guide, and their power to serve others and proclaim Your love. We pray that thier testimonies and love-in-action will be used to bring more people into Your family. So that even if their homes here on earth are destroyed, their home in Heaven will be secure!!

Finally, we lift up the Opioid Epidemic here in the U.S.. God strengthen the pastors who are reaching out to drug users across the country. I know a number of pastors in Philadelphia who are working together - across denominational divides - to reach out to and serve addicts who are homeless in North Philadelphia. I am certain that others exist around the country who have the same burden. We lift them all up to You, that You would guide their steps and bring them into encounters with people who are open to hearing the gospel, and who are ready to get clean - even though doing so can be very painful for a time, and will be a lifelong work. We praise You because You love each of us enough that "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" to make the way that we could be forgiven of sin and adopted into Your family. None of us deserves your mercy, grace and love. We are NO more deserving than a homeless drug addict. So give us hearts full of mercy for those who have been enslaved by these brain altering, highly addictive substances that often begin as legal prescriptions. God, forgive, rescue, heal! Be glorified for Your mercy that has no limits. We praise you for our own salvation and for the lives You are still going to rescue!

There is SO much more to be said. So many burdens on our hearts! Help us to pray every day for both our personal burdens and the plagues of this fallen world. Lord, be glorified as you trample on the demonic powers of this world, through Your children, by the Power given us by the risen Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit
