On the first Sunday of the new year, Pastor Brian Grant gave a message entitled "What Does It Mean To Be God's Masterpiece?" Based on the reading of Ephesians 2:1-10

Pastor Brian gave three points to show what it means to be God's Masterpiece:

1. Every born-again Christian is God's specially chosen Masterpiece; chosen by God to carry out His great purposes on Earth. (Ephesians 2:10)
2. As God's Masterpiece, we must consciously choose to renounce sin and live a holy life.
3. As God's Great Masterpiece, we must determine to pursue His special plan for our lives.

Pastor Brian emphasized that we are God's Masterpiece and that we should constantly and consciously choose to confess and forsake our sins. We also must endeavor to be all that God has planned for us to be.

This week Pastor Brian Grant gave a thought provoking message entitled "Why Did God Make Us" based on the readings of Acts 12:20-24 & Matthew 28:18-20.

Pastor Brian started off my stating that "things have greater meaning when we understand their purpose" and he gave us three and answers to the question of "Why Did God Make Us?"

1. God made us to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. (Acts 12:19-24; Isaiah 43:1-3)
2. God made us to pursue His mission of making disciples. (Matthew 28:18-20)
3. God made us so that we can one day live in heaven with Him forever. (Philippians 3:17-21; John 14:1-6)

As we prepare to celebrate GCA's 51st Anniversary, we want to highlight some of the several mission trips that took place this year, tying into this year's theme: 'Powered by Grace to Finish the Race'!

From March 28 to April 8, a team of 7 (as seen above) travelled to the country of Guyana to serve alongside local missionary Pastor Ron Charles! On Good Friday, the team visited Bethel Gospel Hall, located in Georgetown, to participate in their special Good Friday and 150th Anniversary celebration.

The team spent the rest of their time in Lethem, participating in the dedication of Lethem Christian Brethren Assembly's new church building and week-long conference hosting various tribes in the West Bank region. The team conducted a Vacation Bible School program for the children and Bible classes and teacher training for the adults. We saw a zeal for learning God's Word, souls dedicating their lives to Christ, and a commitment to spreading God Word in one's community. Praise be to God!🙌🏽🇬🇾
