Philadelphia Yankasa Association - PHIYA The word “YANKASA” literally means the “Native Children”.

It is derived from HAUSA which is a language predominantly spoken in Northern Nigeria and in some States of West Africa. Philadelphia Yankasa Association was inaugurated in 2005 with the sole purpose of assimilating Ghanaians from all ethnicity, cultural and religious backgrounds to work towards a common goal of mutual cooperation and interdependence.
