Back2Acts: Stay the Course

You can wake up with peace in your heart and good intentions for the day—and still, distractions will try to find you. But remember what the Word says: “When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.” (Romans 7:21)

Not every invitation deserves your attendance.
Not every argument deserves your voice.
Not every negative moment deserves your energy.

Stay focused. Stay grounded. Please God, not people.

Some will overlook all you’ve done and focus on what you didn’t do—but don’t carry that weight. You are one person, doing your best.

Take care of yourself today. Protect your peace.
Today is about walking in purpose, not pressure.

In the early church, they didn’t just gather—they valued one another.

They broke bread together.
They showed up for each other.
They honored connection.

But now?
People want access without responsibility.
They want your encouragement… but don’t return it.
They want your presence… but treat you like an option.

At some point, you have to recognize:
Access is a privilege, not a right.

You can’t keep pouring into people
who treat you like a liability
when you’ve been an asset in their life.

That’s not bitterness—that’s wisdom.

Acts 2 wasn’t built on one-sided relationships.
It was built on mutual care, consistency, and love.

So yes… keep your heart right.
But also keep your boundaries clear.

Because even at the table—
not everyone gets a permanent seat.

Back2Acts 🍞 | A Seat at the Table

What happens when we hear the Word… but don’t search it for ourselves?

The early church didn’t just receive teaching—they went back to the Word.

Acts 17:11
“…they received the word… and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

This is the heart of Back2Acts.

No titles. No pressure. No performance.
Just people who are willing to seek truth together.

2 Timothy 2:15
“Study… rightly dividing the word of truth.”

That responsibility belongs to all of us.

This isn’t about calling anyone out—
and that includes me.

Don’t just listen to the teacher.
Don’t just listen to the room.

Go back to the Word.

1 John 4:1
“Try the spirits whether they are of God…”

Because truth matters.

And truth brings freedom.
(John 8:32)

A Seat at the Table means we all come hungry…
and we all go back to the Word.

“Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.” — Langston Hughes

That line reminds me that none of us has climbed an easy staircase. We’ve all encountered splinters, broken steps, and dark places.

In the book of Acts, the early believers didn’t pretend life was easy. They walked through hardship together. They prayed together. They broke bread together. They shared with one another so no one had to climb alone.

Back2Acts isn’t about finding a crystal staircase. It’s about becoming the kind of community that reaches back to help the next person take the next step.

“Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

That feels very much like Back2Acts to me because it’s about community rather than individual struggle.

In fact, one sentence came to mind that sounds like it belongs with your ministry:

“The church was never called to build crystal staircases. It was called to help weary travelers keep climbing.”

Back2Acts | A Seat at the Table

Are you living your assignment, or simply supporting everyone else’s?

The early church wasn’t built on spectators. Every believer had a place, a purpose, and a calling.

It’s a beautiful thing to serve others. But somewhere along the way, many of us become so busy helping others fulfill their purpose that we stop asking God about our own.

Maybe today is an invitation to return to the place where God speaks clearly.

Ask Him:
• What have You called me to build?
• Who have You called me to reach?
• What assignment have I been avoiding because I’ve been carrying someone else’s?

There is grace for your assignment. There is peace in your lane. There is joy in walking where God has called you.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10

Sometimes life gets loud, and even good assignments get pushed to the side. But God is gracious, and His invitation never changes.

Today, I’m coming back to the table.

Back to breaking bread.
Back to His Word.
Back to fellowship.
Back to living out Acts 2:42-47.

The assignment hasn’t changed. The invitation is still open.

There’s still a seat at the table. For me and you!

Back2Acts | A Seat at the Table

You can have talent without true worship. You can hold a title without carrying the anointing. God isn’t looking for polished performances—He’s looking for surrendered hearts.

The early church didn’t gather around platforms; they gathered around the table. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. That’s where lives were changed. That’s where hearts were aligned. That’s where God’s power was revealed.

Maybe it’s time to get back to the foundation.

Come back to the table. Come back to His presence. Come back to His Word. Come back to authentic fellowship.

When we get back into alignment with God, we are equipped to fulfill the assignment He has given us. Every good and perfect gift comes from Him, and every seat at His table is an invitation to grow, serve, and worship together.

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” — Acts 2:42

There is a seat at the table for you.

Back2Acts | A Seat at the Table

The early believers didn’t build a platform—they built a community.

They gathered.
They prayed.
They shared meals.
They cared for one another.
They devoted themselves to God’s Word.

Maybe the Church doesn’t need more performance.
Maybe it needs more presence.

There’s still a seat at the table for anyone seeking Jesus.

No titles.
No pressure.
No church politics.
Just people pursuing Christ together.
