Happy Father’s Day from Village Church!

Today we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, foster dads, adoptive dads, and father figures who faithfully show up, lead, serve, sacrifice, and love.

Thank you for the countless prayers you’ve prayed, the lessons you’ve taught, the example you’ve set, and the strength you’ve provided through every season of life.

Fatherhood isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. It’s about reflecting the heart of our Heavenly Father through grace, patience, wisdom, and love.

“The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them.”
Proverbs 20:7

We had a blast kicking off the summer with some of the kids from our Kids Ministry and their families! Pizza, sun, friends, swimming, and ice pops made for a perfect start to June.

We missed all the kids who couldn’t join us, but we’re so grateful for the memories made today. We can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday!

Update from Rwanda

Today was our first day back in Gahara, and it felt like coming home.

There’s something special about seeing these kids again after a year..watching them grow, hearing their stories, and being welcomed with smiles, laughter, songs, and dancing. The joy here is contagious, and every moment offers a glimpse of the heart of God.

I’m grateful to be a small part of what God is doing in this community. And while we may only see a piece of the story, I have complete confidence that God is doing something far bigger than us through simple faithfulness and obedience.

What a blessing it was to serve our community today!

This morning, we finished the work that began on Saturday by delivering food to PCIS and packing 190 food bags for local students and families. We are so grateful for the school staff and summer school students who jumped in to help unload, organize, and serve alongside us.

A special thank you to the 17 Village Church volunteers who gave their time this morning. It was a joy to work together and love on the kids in our community in a practical way. We are thankful for every opportunity God gives us to serve and make a difference right where we are.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to link arms with six other churches across the Columbus/Phenix City area through Convoy of Hope to serve our local school systems this summer.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this project possible! Throughout June, we’ll have opportunities to serve one of our neighboring schools, PCIS, and we’d love for you and your family to be part of it.

We’ll share more details tomorrow about how you can get involved. We can’t wait to serve our community together as a Village family!

What a beautiful evening loving on our Village family!

Anthony shared Scripture and short testimony with the kids, we enjoyed an intense game of four square, filled our bellies with pizza, and spent the evening laughing, connecting, and making memories together.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped love our Village so well. We are grateful for each of you and for the community we are building together. It is a joy to walk alongside one another and create a place where everyone feels loved and valued.
