Sims Sparks Moffett Collins Family Reunion 2016

It is with great sorrow that I announce the deaths of three members of our family.

Roberta Moffett Jones (79) of Smiths Station, AL passed January 19, 2020. Roberta was the daughter of the late Robert and the late Irene Moffett. Her funeral was held January 17, 2020 at The Church of Christ in Crawford, AL.

Annie L. Veal, wife of the late Johnny Veal, daughter-in-law of the late Freeman and Mamie Veal, departed this life on April 14, 2020. Her life was celebrated with a service at Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL on April 22.

Albert Reed passed April 16, 2020. Albert was the son of Laura Jean Sims Bruce, grandson of Walter ande Sally Sims and great-grandson of Ned and Mattie Sparks. Memorial Services were held on Thursday, April 30 in Oakland, CA.

Dear SSMC Family,

The Advisory Committee is considering a recommendation for the next family reunion to be held in Rochester, NY July 27-29, 2018. We are attempting to determine if we would have enough participation should the decision be made to have it there.

Therefore, please respond (as best you can at this time) to the following questions in the comments.

1. Will you attend the Family Reunion July 27 thru July 29, 2018, if held in Rochester, NY? _____YES _____Maybe _____NO

2. If “YES,” how many members (including yourself) would be attending? _________

3. If “MAYBE”, when could you give a more definite answer? ____________

A quick response is needed in order to facilitate planning. Therefore, it is very important that you respond as soon as possible or at least by February 16. We will provide the group in Rochester with the results of this brief survey.
